  1. My latest addition to the range. Assembled mainly from parts sourced on the Hub and the net.. Rigid, single speed, commuter mtb
  2. Thanks for the input, you had a serious operation Super J. Good news that you can run and ride again. So to be clear you started riding on the trainer in month 4 I presume? Are you on a hardtail or dually post surgery?
  3. So it is now 6 weeks after the discectomy, and already glad I had it done. Went to the doc today for checkup and startingthe rehab excercises in the gym with the biokineticst tomorrow. Wil get back on the bike in January only.. How is your cycling now?, after the surgery and recovery - back to normal? I'm looking at doing another Epic in 2014. Would also like to sart doing some trail running in a couple of months time. This realistic?
  4. You ride an expensive bike in serious mud only once.
  5. Nice event but has been quite pricey in the past
  6. Where are the pics?
  7. At least you live to ride another day
  8. Look. Light, comfortable and simple.
  9. American Classic's also tubeless
  10. Sorry Single Track. You win some you lose some
  11. So did you win? When do you hear?
  12. Lets see some end results
  13. Good training then for the Attakwas..
  14. Sounds like you don't need the SS versions.. ;-)
  15. Ralphs are great. If you ride Ron's, and never have any puncture issues, you are either (a) extremely lucky, or (B) have saneskin versions which i doubt you get here.. Which is it?
  16. What is your RR? Remember the difference between Rocket Ron and Racing Ralph. Rocket Rons are the junk ones. Ralphs are good.
  17. Schwalbe Rocket Rons = crap, only good for training and thin as paper. Schwalbe Racing Ralphs = good stuff (but be sure to get the Snakeskin version with stronger sidewall, as that is the tyre your mates used at the Epic. The same tyre Karl Plat and Stefan Sahm rode in their numerous Epic victories. Maxxis is also good, and will last you longer than the Schwalbe. But remember any tyre can cut, so ride smart and clever lines to avoid cuts.
  18. I love this stuf
  19. All good mate no harm done.
  20. Watch this spectacular display of skill, and courage. A bit long but worth it. http://m.youtube.com/#/watch?feature=youtu.be&v=w-ocRs0Nbjg&desktop_uri=%2Fwatch%3Fv%3Dw-ocRs0Nbjg%26feature%3Dyoutu.be
  21. I'm with you on that one
  22. Ok, so it is time consider a trailer.. I am looking at getting a trailer mainly for towing luggage etc., and stumbled across a Thule trailer. Anybody out here that owns a Thule trailer? or knows anything about them and maybe want to share a bit? It is double the price of any other trailer of similar size, with main difference being that it is made of alluminium and stainless steel, so no rust. Here is a link to a photo. http://www.snewsnet.com/cgi-bin/snews/09079.html
  23. I'm really sorry for Linden Cylces, but long gone are the days where thieves look or dress like thieves. Criminals today are sophisticated and drive X5's and live in Sandton, Blouberg Think Wendy Mechanik, Bernie Madoff.. AJ Brown..
