  1. Hoping the momsen warranty team are out there watching this thread.. My bike has been at an approved Momsen dealership in Cape Town since last thursday.. all i need is the momsen rep to go and take a look, agree the frame is cracked and give me a nice new 2018 Momsen Vipa frame..

    What was the verdict?

  2. I doubt it.

I have heard from TWT. Although they will replace the frame I still have to pay for the rebuild.

After my experience with another brand on this I really can't be bothered to do this. The bike is 3 weeks old so I don't see why I have to be out of pocket on this. I feel Momsen/TWT should be paying the bike shop to sort this out, not me having to pay the bike shop. Especially as the bike is pretty new. But ja....

Its going to cost me R500 odd in money as well as having to get time off work to take the bike 60km away from me to get it sorted out (assuming the bike shop would also be able to help me out and get it done quickly while I wait otherwise its even more money!)

On a R7500 bike its just not worth the extra pennies in my opinion, still wanting to buy some new kit for myself so would rather thrown the money into a new backpack or something.

Your choice to repair, replace or refund. Only your choice

  4. Massive kudos for channeling back to David too. It's so easy to get caught up in your own initiative that we often forget about everybody else.

Personally you must be acknowledged for what you are doing, even if you don't want it.

So Nicole, well done, and thank you for being a human who gives more than what they take, we need more of people like you!

    Nicely put

  5. We are blessed with the support of Bogus Designs, Hasie & the Robots, as well as Anatomic, (3 auctions currently running).

Yes, Karmi's parents are going to be hit with the mother of all hospital accounts, but they are not the only ones. May I ask, please, those of you who are willing to donate that R100, split it so half goes to Karmi and the other half to F.R.A.I.L-K? https://community.bikehub.co.za/topic/168435-funding-not-been-able-2-work-4-126-days/

Good to see the commercial support. Info re the auctions? Where to find them?

  6. This is hectic.

I'm not asking anyone to put themselves into debt, but I'm sure each hubber could afford to drop R100 into this account to help this family.

They must be going through hell, yet staying positive.

So instead of those extra beers or coffee after your next ride, sip some water, and donate that R100.

Any bike shops or retailers out there who maybe want to auction a bike or offer some items to be auctioned?

    Hang in there Karmi

  7. What gets to me is how many young very talented riders are having to beg, borrow and steal to get over here to get some European racing experience.

Why can't CSA help some of these riders?

And those who are and have been good enough to race in Europe, but now have visa issues and cannot get back to race there. All because they are on the SA passport.

Real stars who cannot get support.

Any ideas for these guys, please pm me.
