Apart from the obvious, what are the implications of drilling through the frame?
How about 27.2 external routing?

My riding and fitness has developed massively since training there.
Cannot comment on the competition as had no experience with them
3hrs at 87% of max HR.
All for 300 Points.
New system doesn't seem to be working properly.
Thanks
This is what I have, bought on eBay. Works OK.
Me too please. Sent PMHi Kyle
If you are interested I can send you the GPX file for the route. It is flat and fast - <400m of climbing in the 60km route - but the wind can get you on a bad day!
Ordered one as well. Can't go wrong for R399This. On special at CWCycles
Would like one but battling to find a cost effective 27.2mm version...
Any recommendations for a 27.2mm diameter dropper post with external routing?
Lyne currently don't have and Rock Shox don't make that size afaik.
Any ideas?

Agreed. It's the small things that define the whole. 1 company. It's one company Miles and how they do the little things reflects on their core business. I am a customer of Discovery. Not a customer of 3 separate parts of Discovery.
Not once in this thread have I moaned about VAR points allocations or "subject to changes" but when they can't do the simple things like read a file synced from Garmin and Polar and allocate me the points, then ask for screen shots I start to question their willingness to meet obligations.
My weekly interaction with Discovery is on VAR, not life or medical aid. VAR is what forms my perception of the company. You are saying it's unreasonable to question their commitments based on this perception. I'll be dead so can't fight them if they don't honour their commitments which is my perception right now based on their incompetence displayed in this programme.

Can't agree more! I want the real thing, or nothing.
If any option, I'll go for the non-Chinese product, just out of principle.
Look closely at the make-up and origin of the components used in "the real thing". Frequently from China anyway
Milk whatever tickles your fancy. It works well as a chamois cream thowhat are you supposed to milk with it?
This stuff is it - MADAJI MILKING CREAM. Cheap and works well. From DischemThis stuff works wellMad.jpg
I followed the markers - which were clear and visible - and had a good ride. I did hit a rock with my shin at km26 of 38 . Luckily managed to complete the race (whilst still following the designated route albeit moving to the side for the more able riders to pass ) before spending the rest of Saturday in hospital. No broken bones just tissue damage and swelling. Thanks to those who helped me and to those who offered too.Sadly too many places to take short cut and then inaccurate results in the end, even for some top places in the 60km.
My point:
I did the race/ride because I wanted to.
I followed the routes and rules because I wanted to.
I finished because I wanted to... and because pain induced adrenaline told me to.
I did not cheat, because that's stupid and only fools ones self.
Hopefully I will be back on my bike soon.
To the cheaters, mmmm well...
Would be nice if Disco would consider addressing their known app issues. Non synchronisation with Disco approved devices is nothing new yet it is still not addressed. Fortunately I never fell for the apple watch dangle.
Discovery = incompetence when it comes to their rewards system.
Log complaints backed up with actual data from Vitality approved Garmin products and they still mess it up.
I hope those on this forum working at Discovery in the rewards department are capable of feeling absolutely embarrassed.
Don't offer a rewards system that does not function properly. Teething problems this is not. This is pathetic. This is not the first time we have experienced such problems and we are not alone in these.
At least Discovery med aid still seems to pay.... at times.
Where has my bike taken me today? To hospital after smashing a rock with my shin on the Subaru hunter series 4 yesterday. My bike took to me to the finish 9km away after the fall. Know broken bones just soft tissue mess. Swopped the bike for crutches for a little while
Lekker race. The tight rocky ascent at about km26 of 38 was pretty hectic. Nice tho
Thanks. Sorry for the tangent. It's just that the park tool and similar are quite pricey so was interested in what the cheaper versions were like.Hi thanks. It is the Chris Willemse stand. Probably not the sturdiest stand but at R450 on special, I can't really fault it. For home use it is perfect.
Nice.I was very fortunate that my LBS managed to secure a 2016 Anthem frame for me. I did not realize that the mediums were so difficult to obtain. Can't wait to take her for a ride, but the wheels will take me a few days to build, in between family commitments.
Tangent: what bike stand is that and would you recommend it?
