Organisation was pretty good, food was pretty good. Nothing to complain about from that point of view. I just don't like the race itself. The courses are long for the sake of being long, they're pretty bloody boring as well. Could probably have ridden most of it on a cyclo cross bike, except for that climb on day 2, although most walked anyway. All the things about riding that I don't really like all that much. Oh well.

Was having a bit of a bad day at a 24 beginning of the year. Turned on Strapping Young Lad the song was "F*cker". It sometimes helps for your suffering to have a soundtrack.

That last little thing at the end? Hit it hard, hit it fast, stay light, jump a little. If you go slow you're dead, that's why the front brake is throwing you, not enough speed.

Gonna have to throw the Spesh Fast Trak into the hat here, good grip, great rolling tyre, pretty light, not too expensive and last quite a while even if you abuse 'em.

Those wheels would look good on one of these And they may be pretty soon. Currently ride 1 of Chris other bikes, a custom Ti Racer-X 29'er. Gonna be interesting to see how this 29'er rides.

They're probably closer in weight than that, Mavic habitually understate the weight of their wheels.

Bearings you can stick grease on nylon bushings shold be cleaned and re-assembled dry as far as I am aware.
