I handed in my busted Bell Sweep helmet at Hotspot almost 2 weeks ago. Phoned yesterday - no helmet. Send Omnico a mail - no response...Wanted to phone today but I got real busy real quick. *sigh* Omnico, you now owe me a GT Zaskar carbon frame (since April) AND a helmet... I just don't feel the love... *sigh*

But here is the thing - out of the 3 guys that finished top 10, 2 had the wrong number boards - one was a 70km board and on was a 20km. The other oke was the one that finished 577th and the 133rd or something. You can't just DQ him on that - just because on csharpphotos he does not look like a top 10 finisher...And because he sucked in the previous 2!!!

Ever looked at a results page and just know that the results are not "right"? In the 40(38)km race, I know that some guys who finished in the top 10 (at least 4!) are not meant to be there. One guy entered the 70(66)km and did the 40. Two okes, one started in Z and one in H, finished top 10. Now I am not saying this is impossible, I am just saying there is no chance in hell!!! I mean, the one guy finished 577th and 133rd in the previous 2 Nissan series races - and then finishes top 3??? I feel sorry for the oke's that "actually" finished 2nd and 3rd... The only way this could have happened was if they cheated on the route OR they started in the wrong group and no one saw them.

Let me set the record straight here: I bought my wife a Merida XC500D in October of 2008. Neither of us were sure weither she is going to follow through with the MTB thing...I thought the Merida was a good buy and had a lot of potential for upgrades. So it started out with: Rock Shox Dart2 (Well over 2.0kg) Octalink 10ton BB Deore Cassette HG53 9spd chain So I replaced the above with: Fox 32 80mm front fork from my GT. I had it serviced and checked BEFORE it went onto her bike. Saved her well over 1kg in weight. SLX Crankset with bb (brand new) - she did not like the colour of the XT! XT Cassette (brand new) HG93 9spd chain She is getting my Ritchey Pro bar and seatpost this weekend - I will have it resprayed to match her bike! So how is this not upgrading her bike? I decided to get her the SLX disc brakes from CWC and keep my Maguras.

How much is not "cheap'?

I own a GT Zaskar. It is known to "crack" but this is mainly all cosmetic me thinks. Waiting for a replacement frame as mine is now "noisy".
