    Did not blow me away on the 59km. First half was done @ a constant redline pace. 2nd half became a bit monotonous...the same scenery on the same koppie over and over. Entry page said 70km. Announcer said 63km Ended up being 59km Feeling a bit robbed as the fee was for a 70km?

    So because I live nearby I would like to propose that instead of parking at the venue next time, rather park further up the road at the Hazeldean shopping centre or at the gym parking area. The downside is then that you have to cycle back to your car ~5km.

    What makes this race hard is when you do find a downhill where you would normally be able to freewheel down, the bloody wind bloes at gail force into your face and you have to keep pedalling to keep moving. This was a pedalfest...and I loved it!

    The funny bit was everyone speeding past the last water point which should have been around 5km from the end...12km later we all regretted skipping the waterpoint

    Ja nê. And the sad thing is that this is only a topic for discussion because the oke got caught... In my opinion there are plenty Joe Soaps out there who also dope. But because they are not pro's, they fly below the radar. The things some will do just to have their 5 seconds of fame. Shame.

    Just a question but how does this bike stay upright on it's own? Is it that awesome???

    I liked the Ikon but found that it tends to delaminate with Stans sealant before the tread was gone. It appeared to last a bit longer with Joe's.
