  1. They comletely spelled my name wrong.
  2. This could be the reason...
  3. Ok so the wheel is fine...I think. Basic check was this: Took the casette off and put the wheel in the wrong way round. The gap between the tyre and the drive side was the same as before, ergo dish of wheel is fine. I need to take pictures of the gaps but what is a normal gap aon a cotic solaris with 2.25 tyres?
  4. To answer all the questions: 1. Solaris - 2013 frame 2. I had the wheel checked for the dish and it was fine. However, the tyre was still on so I shall do it properly with the tyre off. Would really be disappointed if it is the wheel. I'll keep you posted.
  5. I have a Cotic issue at the moment. Recently I noticed that the clearance between the rear tyre and the left chainstay (non drive side) is a lot smaller than the clearance on the right (drive side). Roughly about 4-6mm. The tyre is not rubbing against the frame (except if it gets muddy) and the inside clearance between the dropouts is 135mm on the dot. Dropouts are also in line. I would like to know if this is just on my bike? Anywhere I can take it that can do cold setting maybe? - Frame is out of warranty. Or should I just leave it?
  6. Jis maar kan die ou nie net sy fiets ry soos 'n gewone mens nie?
  7. Let's burn the parks!
  8. We are in also. Too close to home not to go. (I am starting to suspect I am surrounded by hubbers in my neighborhood...)
  9. Jammer edelagbare. Ek het nie besef ek spreek die top ryer in groep D so informeel aan nie.As jy vroeer by die waterpunte aankom sal jy koue water kry. Miskien moet jy meer oefen dat jy nie agter die groep B ladies vashaak nie.
  10. Early on I realised that today will become a ride of sorts. I found that running in the middle of the pack presented a new view: having so much singletrack at the end of race, gives you zero chance to sit up and have a drink especially when the temperature was rising and hydration started becoming an issue. Kudo's to the organisers for starting earlier. I am also not fond off paying R270 to ride at the bikepark. That is a bit of a rip off as basically that is what it felt like: riding at a bike park. Traffic out of the venue was a nightmare basically because of the strange security measures taken. Kudo's for having marshalls to get traffic out of the venue into the main road.
  11. No. Dude called FSA. Was in 2011 actually and not 2009.Wonder what that was about?
  12. Imagine my surprise when I check and find thatbin 2009 I blocked a guy...He is still blocked. No idea what happened there. Eish.
  13. Ek weet net hoe om myself te blok in wegkruipertjie.
  14. This has to do with "expectations".I paid for an entry expecting it to be as advertised - don't think that is unreasonable?
  15. Did not blow me away on the 59km. First half was done @ a constant redline pace. 2nd half became a bit monotonous...the same scenery on the same koppie over and over. Entry page said 70km. Announcer said 63km Ended up being 59km Feeling a bit robbed as the fee was for a 70km?
  16. So because I live nearby I would like to propose that instead of parking at the venue next time, rather park further up the road at the Hazeldean shopping centre or at the gym parking area. The downside is then that you have to cycle back to your car ~5km.
  17. Uhm, what are you doing behind the "tannie" hmmm?
  18. What makes this race hard is when you do find a downhill where you would normally be able to freewheel down, the bloody wind bloes at gail force into your face and you have to keep pedalling to keep moving. This was a pedalfest...and I loved it!
  19. The funny bit was everyone speeding past the last water point which should have been around 5km from the end...12km later we all regretted skipping the waterpoint
  20. A race in my backyard? Bet I am there!
  21. And you like the hub...obviously.
