  1. I was thinking about this exact thing last night. If the 63km group had a 45min earlier start would that not be enough to create some space between the 2 groups? My only concern with this idea is the possibility of the 63km and 37km front runners crossing paths towards the finish
  2. Some serious photography there!! I tried looking up at the valley from the side of the mountain once, nearly came off my bike and decided to best keep my eyes in front of me. Thanks for the pics to see what I missed
  3. How did anyone manage to take photos, except at the start? I think I managed to look up once to take in the beautiful scenery and almost crashed off the side of the mountain...last time I took my eyes off the terrain But seriously, this was an amazing event and very well organised from parking to ride. I appreciate the extra effort to clean the loo's after every person who goes in there too. Maybe one concern, and this is partially due to my own fault, but consider having a mobile ATM or more card paying facilities available next year. I ran out of money and still wanted to buy an event t-shirt. I'll be back next year for sure!!
  4. Thanks for the info. I am looking forward to an awesome race and no mechanical issues (touch wood)
  5. I have only heard good things of this event. I hear it's quite technical. What is the % single track on the 37km race?
  6. I'm not sure how I feel about dong the race anymore. Received my preferential entry email yesterday and still deciding if it's worth it. I heard some rumours that the protest action which initially reduced the 2017 Argus to 78km was going to be in full swing again on Argus day 2018 as this gives them more coverage, etc, etc. Anyone else heard something to this extent?
  7. This is a favourite of mine after a ride
  8. Any protest action on the cards to shorten the route again...?
  9. Hi Do you mind explaining how to get your Health Saver to pay for part of your medical health premium? That should be a huge bonus to some people.
  10. If the 50km mtb route is more or less the same route as The Great White mtb race held at Lomond farms, then it's quite a tough ride. The downs are incredibly fast and you spend the rest of your ride counting the minutes going up hill after hill. I'm not the fittest rider, but that race broke me over easter weekend. I will be back though for more punishment The views are spectacular!!
  11. I am actually also quite keen to do it in December. And I also don't feel fit enough for it yet, but will be afterwards What dates did you have in mind?
