  1. <bites tongue again>
  2. <Bites his tongue, as he reads the smokers comment> The purchase price is a constant debate. Even comments of how many times the bearings can be replaced at that cost until you break even are questionable. This often does not include the value consideration of the downtime or the after sale benefits or the premium for subtle technical differences and R&D.
  3. Although I was way out on the OP. LL please be sure that you express yourself better next time. davem has explained it perfectly I think, perfectly
  4. Too many cigarette holes ? This time buy a leather couch.
  5. Did anyone read this cr@p! Get over it. You went in and transacted. Had you researched before transacting you wouldn't be whinging. You paid for the bearings, the outsourcing procurement, courier function and administration. If you do your own work (cut out the middle man) it'll always be cheaper. If its so important to you, then return the bearings. Even with 10% handling charge you should save. <Skip the next twenty packets and your pocket should be even.>
  6. The point to keep in mind is that they are unable to maintain a discrepancy. Soon the reading will recorded as the real value and be charged against the "last" reading and you will be billed accordingly. It may be too soon to react. Are you suggesting that they are jimmying the meter?
  7. Not a typical c-record build: but I really like it
  8. Monkeyboy-CT: thats porn worthy !
  9. This sounds horrible and people don't like to be refused if they have asked nicely, but this guy is doing his job and he/she is the only one authorized to enter a metering room. Reason (1) prevent tampering (2) safety concerns
  10. Irrespective, THAT NOODLE IS REALLY MAGNIFICENT.!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! <click save as folder NR>
  11. Yes. Interesting comment you make. Please explain what comes into consideration
  12. I'd like to know how they measure my usage during "peak hours" and "off peak hours" Do I have two meters running on timers? I have been informed by council as follows: Peak hours: 06h00 to 22h00 Off peak 22h00 to 06h00 The difference in the rate per kWh is about 40%
  13. What's the route? How about posting a map?
  14. This will save you TIME in making a decision
  15. When children are forced to inhale tobacco smoke, I personally classify this as a form of CHILD ABUSE.
  16. Please do not skirt the issues: The issue remains that children are forced to inhale the smoke of parents, family and friends in their homes and vehicles as a result of the thoughtless and selfish act of those smokers. It is proven that the pulmonary medical incident rate of children that belong to non smokers is significantly lower than children of smokers. If you are a parent and have recently become a parent: are you smoking in your home? (I think c that you know this Q is for you)
  17. Tis why, dear sir, I love lo pro
  18. Missed this one. This is obviously not the first incident, but this is the one thats boggling me. Where the hell do the bikes go? I recently watched some investigative program about poaching and the pursuit of some overweight kingpin living on a farm somewhere who was known for the trade of horn and tusk. Is there some-one, who these guys go to, to get a pretty penny for their pickings? Or do they really only get a couple of hundred per bike in a stupid trade inside a township? What is their thinking? Do they know the value of the bikes? Do they prime themselves, as they see you coming from a distance and think that this is a heist of approx R100K worth of bikes? For which we will get value "X"? Is it like a train robbery or bank job of old? Are the bikes really part of the main objective or are they after phones and wallets? Was it an "initiation" type dare? OR have the police started to notice a pattern of hijacking by what could be the same syndicate? Bloody hell. It really is the Wild West. Its like having Injuns ambush you and scalping you. ffs <rant off> Sorry if I missed something
  19. Hurt my aaiball !!... theres actually some sensible posts being made here. Its critical that these people suffer penal consequences for their actions. It also confirms the growing preference for firms to use labor brokers in this country. Thats the double edged sword.
  20. Example http://www.instructables.com/id/Anodize-Titanium/
  21. Anodizing is coating with an oxide. Yes you can anodize Ti. More easily than Al, I believe
  22. You could use that blue Tommasini. Subject to a blurry pic of the rear drop outs. You'll preferably need horizonatl dropouts to get tension on the chain in the absence of a RD (the 2nd function of the RD) If you have vertical dropouts you could use a chain tensionser Location? But that Tommasini frame has braze on FD bracket and braze on shifter bosses and RD eye Track frames are the best but they aren't drilled for a brake unless you switch to a road fork.
  23. Any teacher that damages a schools property or threatens the safety of a child/ learner should be: (1) named and shamed (2) fined (3) preferably fired These episodes of this strike should not be allowed to pass without making the most severe example of the identified transgressors. It is imperative to create a precedent that such action will NOT be tolerated in future wage negotiations. Furthermore the unions should be held responsible for the actions of their members. It is the unions that incite this action and remain unaccountable.
