  7. Hell yeah...i used Squash, so totally agree. Try swimming with that and you're good to go. Hmmm...think the original question was how flexible we are...well...i can still touch the floor with flat palms, and on a good day put my feet behind my head.

  10. hardcore!!! You go girlssssssssssssss!!!!! Okay...i'm probably going to get flamed for this...but i think women get tougher as they age. Where will you see a male of that age challenging the youngsters and being so successful? Yeah...i know there's like a gazillion factors that you guys can think of, but ja - your oppinions...i still think chicks rock!!!
  11. hey...now that's a cool idea!! I'm sooo going to suggest that next time we as a family go out for some coffee or something we take the bikes:)
  12. Supertorro - approach it like it's not going to be for excercise really and rather something relaxing at first. My mom and i were home alone a few weekends back, so the one afternoon we were wondering what to do and i suggested we take a cruise with the mtb's. Nothing serious - jeans, T-shirts and takkies - none of the fancy stuff. So to start off with we cycled through the neighbourhood - up and down all the streets. Chatted, laughed and i saw she was beginning to enjoy it. GREAT:) So i asked her if she wanted to ride a bit more in a place where there's stunning things to see. So off we went to the golf course with its vast network of little dirt roads. Saw animals, nature, and just loved being out in the fresh air. ......and the best part...SHE WANTS TO DO IT AT LEAST ONCE A WEEK NOW:))) she'll never get into serious mountain biking, but i think these rides are stunning. Try something similar and let me know if it worked. PS...do not force her to go faster! Whatever pace she's comfortable with...go with that, even sometimes trailing behind her/letting her take a "hill sprint";-)
  13. Cool!! Looks like fun!! You guys know what the best is of looking at these pics?...actually recognising lots of people. I usually only scanned through pics on websites and magazines, but nowadays i have to look far more carefully to see if there aren't some of my friends caught in by the camera.

  18. Hmmm...seriously trying to convince the the parents for Sun and Monday... Where are we starting from? (ja...i know it's been mentioned, but close to what big/well known places is it?) Because i will have to organize my accomodation according to that. Thanx. Oh...Icarus and Racman...i'll join you guys in the slowgroup then we can team up and bully the guys if they go to fast Fanie...Bainskloof is one of my favourite routes - lovely roads, not too many cars and just sooo much fun climbing that pass!! It's quite long, first bit is steep, but after that it's a constant and nice climb to the top. Usually do Du Toitskloof and Bainskloof on a circle route from Worcester which adds up to about 140km for a day.
  19. hell!!!!!!! but on second thought...that could actually be fun! That's like 72k's per hour!! Flip - wow wow wow - think i've got something new to dream about! No brakes - CVANC...how bout a little tandem ride hmmmmm?? (and this time i don't even have to fiddle with the brakes or loosen them)
  20. Hmmmmmmmm...Holy...now that's a cool idea!!! Come to think of it - i've joined the Bicycling forum some time ago - maybe i should talk as much nonsense there as i do here so they can get used to me. you know - make pals with the editors and all the other people there... haha! nah...
