  5. I see we are one in the same I have an SID WC, old version, in Athena White. 1298 grams, with Pushlock, on the scale with no modifications, standard mix of 5 and 10 wt oil. Super Plush, easy to fix and the spares are readily available and well priced.
  6. No I purchased it Fair Enough. Great bike by the way. I remember it gained headlines in MBA once as being the world's most expensive production MTB. That was a few years back of course when $ 10 000 was consided insanely expensive.
  7. Nope, I was sitting in large hall with lots people wiriting an exam. Ridden the course dozens of times though, really great single track.
  8. Well I hope not, I'm only 20. And 3/4's.
  9. Both forks are great. Buy the fury brown animal, Marzocchi don't have the best back up in SA.
  10. World Cup, I live in Hilton bove PMB.
  11. Were'nt you trying to flog this a while back?
  12. me?? neverrrrrrrrrr... I just honestly think peeps that don't ride hardtails' date=' do so, cos they can't. So they are either old or injured.. This off course excludes any DH riders.[/quote'] Hmm, I've ridden the WC DH course on a HT, granted it was a Trials Bike. Course that might have just been stupidity?
  13. This is like the Campy/ Shimano debate. It goes like this: Unless you have a budget of 20K or more then go for a hardtail. The spec will be 5 X better and so will the ride. If you have your heart set on a DS then just get one. At the end of the day both'll do the job and if you have a lockout on your shock, (if you get a DS) both'll climb as well as the other.
  14. Terrible...tat tat Nah its really cool. I cannot tell you how much cooler it would look with some white Nokon (I Link only comes in silver) and a white Goodridge brake hose upgrade.

  16. Hey SingleTrackMind is back.
  17. Okay I'll follow TitusTi and elaborate on my build. In full race guise my girl weighs between 8.8 and 9.3 depending the rubber. At present we're sitting at 9030 grams. > Humming Bird Ti Frame, same as Van Nicholas Taureg. > Sid WC Fork > X.9/0 Shifting, FD is a XT unit, looking for a 7800 DA, allready have the speen adaptor waiting. > Formula Oro K24 stoppers, heavily upgraded. > XTR 960 Crankset, modded to accept two rings. > XTR Cassette and DA 10 Spd chain. > Race hoops: A2Z Hubs, KCNC Skewers, Aligator Cirrus rotors, Olympic rims. Furious Fred at the back and a Race King up front. > Full KCNC cockpit and an SLR XC Saddle. When I'm rich I'll redo the entire cable system with Ilinks and Powercordz. Formula R1's, an SLR Fibra, a Recon Ti Cassette and Monkeylite SL bar are also on the list. Total weight will work out at around 8.5 Kgs with decent rubber, AKA Race Kings.
  18. One could argue that Dirty Hippo probably has the best MTB, Factory Epic S-Works. As for the best MTBer on the hub.. See my above answer. Of course beauty is in the eye of the beholder so my 9.2 Kg TI hardtail is the best MTB on the hub.
  19. Bout 6 months, I live in Hilton.
  20. Either buy the 750 buck park tool off CRC, do what peach said or find two really decent bits of sheet metal. Insert the bent hanger between them and then go and find a really big hammer... Presto, like new.
  21. Its allright hey, I mean its a decent rig and they are generally better priced than the Echos. That said I've heard a few stories, from mates in the UK, about the frames snapping. All in all in looks like a real decent bike. Definately something to consider. Yeah I'm on FB some where, don't use it much as I prefer MSN. You can look me up though if you feel so inlcined. I think I have a link to the acc in my profile.
