  1. I feel your pain, also an asthmatic...
  2. Haha when I lived up in the flatlands I used to ride Cradle mid winter in summer kit too. Not trying to look hardcore at all, the fiest 5 - 10mins is rough... but after that I am warm. I prefer to suffer for a little and then be comfy over being comfy for 10mins and suffering the rest of the ride. Flipside is I really struggle in summer when everyone else is enjoying the warm sun.
  3. Same here.... my winter and summer cycling kit is exactly the same - bib, baggy, and thin moisture wicking t-shirt, gloves, and a buff under the helmet to keep sweat out of my eyes. I don't ever wear long sleeves even in the middle of winter on a rainy day. The once or twice I have worn a jersey of sorts I have taken it off in the first 5mins of riding. I rather suffer in the cold for 5mins till I heat up than carry around a bunch of extra clothing. I tried the buff, felt like I was being waterboarded and suffocated, tried a few different masks and they were even worse. Everything I have tried is drenched in sweat within minutes. That said, I am sticking to the rules (mostly). I wear a buff around my neck, have it pulled up on public roads, and then just around my neck as soon as I am on dirt - I just pull it up again when I see someone approaching or am about to pass someone. Luckily 95% of my loop is on dirt and out of view of any cars and the general public. Quite honestly I don't see how anyone can breathe through a buff or mask. I have given up on any form of eyewear with a buff/mask - fogs up like crazy. Not the end of the world though, I don't mind riding without glasses. I have ordered some fancy Ciovita masks, from all accounts they are quite comfy to exercise in. I hope that's the case...
  4. When the law says something is required it means it is compulsory. When the law says something is legal to do, it does not mean it is compulsory. Eg: It is required to wear a seatbelt while driving your car = compulsory. It is legal to drink alcohol = not compulsory but allowed. You seem to struggle with very basic concepts.
  5. I for one don't agree with the face mask rule or the time restrictions, but I follow them. You can questions and lobby to change rules/laws you don't agree with them while still following them while they are in place.
  6. I've ordered some Ciovita masks, hopefully they work because all the other masks including a Buff feels like I am being suffocated at the start, the water boarded 10mins into the ride. I'll post my experience with them once they arrive.
  7. Jesse Eisenberg Sarah Jessica Parker
  8. If you don't have a password or some sort of security on your phone you can't use most banking and payment apps.
  9. Also found it to be alot quieter today. But lots of groups of 4 or 5 cyclists. Idiots.
  10. Thanks for the reply. I'm a bit hesitant to make any purchases before actually seeing if it fits... I will ask around if someone has a 27.5 wheelset I can borrow to put in my frame and test. I'll post some pics here for future reference.
  11. Farrnus, what is the biggest size 27.5 mtb tyres that can fit this frame and fork? I am wondering if some Maxxis Ikon 2.1" tyres will fit?
  12. I hope I am wrong, but it won't be long until government takes away exercise becauase of people that just cannot stick to rules....
  13. How long did yours take to get delivered from when you ordered? I ordered a bit over a week ago and haven't received anything yet...
  14. Yup, after this weekend people will go back to sleeping in.... I was out at 6, saw no other riders until 7, then the numbers picked steadily till 8. When I got back home at 8 to take the dogs for a walk the streets were very busy with families walking around. I'm gonna keep going out at 6, to avoid the traffic. I just hope after how busy everything was the government doesn't walk back on this decision.... I really missed my bike and I don't wanna go back to no riding!!
  15. Ride for 2 hours then walk dogs for an hour
  16. Here is a novel idea guys - don't post your rides on Strava. I am not condoning the breaking or bending of rules. BUT... if you are doing a 100km zig zag ride in your 5km radius just keep your ride on private and let's not give the Karen's of the world something to complain about.
  17. You can get technical, but at the end of the day the cop that stops you is not going to care much for your argument. Take a mask or buff with you. For me it will be a buff around my neck - if I see anyone that may stop me I will just pull it up over my mouth and nose. As for actually exercising with a mask, yeah.... don't see how that's possible as soon as the HR goes up and the breathing gets on the heavier side.
  18. I have a Shimano 2x10 groupset with less than 200km on I'd be willing to swop. Hydraulic disc brakes, crank, and chainrings... Depending on the condition of that di2 groupo.
  19. WTF. New levels of insanity. Time to end this lockdown hahaha
  20. It's just another standard....
  21. Titan are making brilliant bikes at very decent prices. Their warranty is one of the best in the business. They get good reviews from everyone who owns them (as far as I know anyway). They may not be the sexiest or most desirable brand out there, but I wouldn't think twice about buying one. At your price point I don't think you will find anything better unless you go 2nd hand which carries it's own risks.
  22. Haha the old saying goes if everyone starts calling you crazy, you may be crazy.... I may infact be suffering from lockdown induced health issues. I was riding around in the yard a few days ago practicing wheelies ans just messing around - let's just say the likelyhood of the bike being sold has gone down a bit.
  23. One of my favourite shows. I think I've watched it start to finish more than 5 times. I laugh just as much every time as the times before.
  24. They are hoping we will be adults and police ourselves. I am sure we will have chops that will try bend the rules (whatever that may be), and when one or two of those chops get caught they will ruin it for everyone else as usual.
  25. Some good skop, skiet, en donner moments. But overall pretty dissapointing for me. Netflix in my experience makes some good series, but average movies. I don't know why, but very few tick the boxes for me despite having a good cast.
