  1. In this context, what would your definition of white middleclass be? If you're implying people with other means of transport, ie car choosing to commute to work by bike, then I'm proud to be one, and so would be the app 60% of people riding on the cycle path each day?
  2. Have replaced batteries on my Polar myself. So far, with swimming etc, no issues with waterproofing. Just don't damage the seal.
  3. Ooh, good point...then the orihinal Rally spec AS WELL AS the IMSA...
  4. Bit late to the party....but my garage... Mercedes 280sl pagoda silver Audi Quattro Porsche 356 1600b Ferrari 250 California spyder New Mercedes CLA if it looks anything like the concept 427 Cobra Porsche 993 Carrera Dangle, any chance you can get photos of those?
  5. Maybe one day I'll be lucky enough to listen to that system. Until then ML Vantage on Valve Audio will have to be my reference. :-D Have you seen Woo audio's new reference monoblocks?
  6. Magico Q5 for me...hooked up to Bladelius.

    DNF at Epic

I'm one of the 2012 DNFs. I spent the last 9 months training, often at the expense of spending time with my eight month old boy...committed to finishing to the extent of obsession, and came in, knowing I had the legs and lungs. Had to pull out, after 10 hours of vomit and sh*t spells on Tuesday night. Trust me, there is nothing more devastating than sitting on the side of the road, with nothing more to give...getting back in the saddle for 500m and repeating. Put that time (and yes, own money) in and you'll understand the feeling. Ironically, it's my boy that gave me the stomache virus. So yes, lots of reasons...but none of them I would guess would be "I thought it would be easy".
  9. Does anyone know the guy commuting with his two sons on his bike in the morning from Paddocks towards Blouberg? Looks so cool, and the kids seem to be having a blast! Would love to do that with my boy soon.
  10. Getting dark now in the mornings...next step for you will be moving from lights where you are seen, to lights where you can see, such as the Magicshine. Brilliant, to the point where some cars mistake you for a motorbike!
  11. yr.no is predicting some nice weather for Caledon and Robertson....hope it stays that way.
  12. +1 for Saguaro.
  13. Seems like I'm the only one that's actually going heavier? My Rocket Rons and 175g saddle helped nothing being upside down at Attakwas due to punctures etc. Now Geax on XT. Reliability > Weight.
  14. Hi all Set of keys and remote found on side of coastal road between Big Bay and Melkbos. PM me
  15. For some reason the cycle lanes seem quieter after this weekend?;-)
  16. Hehe..those sound like better hours!:-D
  17. 17:30??? Don't you know us slackers only work half day on Fridays? 16:30 for me...best time for smiling at polluters in iron cages while singing heal the world.
  18. At the moment with Table view morning traffic the way it is, I can actually sleep a bit later than if I had to go by car...and so much more predictable ito of time and keeping appointments. With tannie Zille also "commuting" they're really making sure that the lanes are kept in tiptop shape. I still make the mistake of forgetting to dry my kit...getting into cold wet smelly kit in the arvie...not nice! And yes, can't help but smile as you go past countless frustrated drivers. I see I've got 14knots of S/SW wind now...woohoo!
  19. Daaaaaaaaaaaaaamnn!!!
  20. Hi Terence, also picked up a pair of sunglasses on the long route if someone has enquired?
  21. On my second one now...snug fit, nice ventilation. Have had some proper spills with mine on and so far no damage to head ;-)
  22. Hi guys - pair of glasses found about 20kms into the 105km route. PM me the description...
  23. Dangle, I hate you ;-)
  24. Beautiful setup Dangle! What speakers you running? The whisper is a piece of art...
  25. Pathos amps are stunning! Used to run Valve Audio...beautiful build quality. There's nothing wrong with vintage equipment! I still love my Quad II, esl57 setup, and power them up very often.
