  1. ok, then i'll go with sintered. the bike these pads are going on is a hartail xc bike with 160 rotors
  2. where did you get the pads?
  3. why would the sintered pads cause the brake to fade?
  4. i thought so as well. but i think im gona go to crc for this, pads cost R110 per pair there. Here it costs R260.
  5. this is off buycycles website. Top Features of the Hope Sintered Pair Of Brake Pads •Made by EBC •Longer lasting than standard •Heat up more than standard •Good for winter or wet weather •Not recommended for dry conditions
  6. ok, so sintered is the way to go?
  7. After a race this weekend my front and rear pads of my HOPE TECH X2 brakes needs to be replaced. I found some on buycycle, but it's the sintered version. Hope says that the sintered version is not recommended for dry conditions. On crc i can get sintered or organic. Whats the difference?

holy mackerel!!!!!i wish i had a cycling partner like that!!!
  17. I' rather support well organized small races. One held in ottosdal at the beginning of the year cost R60 for 40km race. Must say that it wasn't that different in technical stuff than more expensive races. If you enter late you don't get penalized. Rather they give people that enter early a free t-shirt. For R60!!!
  18. contact Edge_Design. MJ816...1400 lumens...R1150
  19. why cant you fit a 29 fork and a 29" wheel on the front end of your normal 26" frame, and keep the 26" rear wheel? i think trek made a bike like that a while back....a 69er.
  20. how dou stick a 29" wheel on a 26" bike? maybe on the front, but at the rear end?????
  21. what bothered me is that they're so in your face about it. I know its a new thing and it may be great or whatever. But really, don't rub it in my face that my alma gold 26" bike is slow and that it sucks.

ok, so i started the saddle choice topic and have decided to stick to my saddle for now. it fits my backside really well and on long rides my @ss gets hurt. This, I think, is due to crap bibs. What bib would you recommend for a rider that weighs 75kg for around R700 each?
