    Upgrades

why do you want to upgrade? is your bike too heavy? does it feel like your front wheel flexes?
  2. ja, that does make sense, i think im just gonna go out more and longer. usually do 80km rides every saturday and sunday, but doesn't get better.
  3. the arione? what version do you recommend for long mtb rides?
  4. does the arione have more padding than a slr carbon?
  5. Hi Im currently riding a selle slr saddle. When I do longer rides (80km and more) my @ss hurts. This is obvous 'cause the saddle doesn't have that much padding. What saddle with the same width will give me more comfort?
  6. hi do you guys know where I can get an unbranded carbon road frame. importers?
  7. that could help as well. but then I'll have to upgrade the fork as well. Just want to make sure that I dont have to upgrade it twice
  8. HI Hubbers I have a all mountain bike that takes a 160mm fork. The current one I have flexes a lot. Will I be able to get a 160mm dual crown fork to sort out this flex?
  9. try that guy that sells the marzocchi forks and shocks.
  10. Hi, this is what the bike looked like before I changed the frame. The crankset and chainring is aerozine
  11. thats true.
  12. my vote is for a light 26" dual. the new dual suspension technologies minimize pedal bob a lot, and the extra traction and ride comfort that the dualie gives is good.

  14. I haven't had the previlage to ride the epic, but my logic tells me you want as heavy duty tires as possible. You already have the bullitproof hope hubs. That extra bit of weight will be worth it in the end.

    9kg hardtail

ja, I don't think alu is lighter than carbon hey. if it is, then why are the lightest bikes of carbon?? The hope brakes I bought for about R3500. I know that is alot, but I don't think Ill ever buy another brake except hope. THeir great. Had them for over a year now. Never had to bleed them or adjust the caliper too much. Also the rotors don't bend. The amount of money you are willing to spend will ultimately dictate the weight of your bike.

    9kg hardtail

I have a orbea alma carbon frame American classic wheelset Sid race fork X0 group Ritchey carbon parts and kcnc Hope brakes. Look pedals 9.6 KG You'll have to get a lighter wheelset, fork and brakes. Depends on what tyres you have as well. What's your budget?
  17. holy smokes, that the whole bb just gone!!!!wow!if that happens to my alma I will die!
  18. A while ago I built up a bike. I went "old school" with 26" wheels and 9 speed drivetrain. I spent a lot of money because I wanted it as light as possible. I got the bike to 9.6 kg with pedals and everything. But now, after I built it up I realise that you get so crazy about the parts and which is better and so on, that you forget about riding. That's why it sad for me to see people selling awsome carbon 26" bikes just to follow the latest trend, then pay huge amounts of money to ride 29". Seems we forget what cycling is about....... just my 2c worth.
  19. They make orbea...
  20. there's a difference between "built" and "made".
