    SA Elite ladies got 3rd on Saturday with Charlene du Preez and Willie Smit taking gold yesterday

    By all accounts it was...another good example...at track SA's last year CSA's rules stated no overshoes on the pursuit...UCI permits it...thus overruled. Mistakes are being made far to often by comms and they have no consistency. Riders tend not to make a fuss about things because they know it might just bite them in the long run...

    The rules that were told to the riders and the team managers were not the same as what panned out. They were told that the U/23 and elites would be starting together but it would be two separate race results. So when Elmari who was an U/23 rider broke away the team managers confirmed with the comms that she would be classified as u/23 and the elite title is still open....and the comms apparently confirmed this. They were asked the same question when Heidi broke and confirmed that it is two separate results, but true to SA Cycling they did not take note of the UCI rule on this which overules the CSA rules Heidi deserves the win she took it to them with one lap to go

    I would say host two if you can but over different routes if possible. Road cycling needs events like yours to grow

    I know of a couple of people whom enjoyed the race. I really think if it gets supported it will grow in numbers over the next couple of years as I am sure they will get the commitment of sponsors. Spinnekop why not give feedback to the race organiser on what your grief is and then see how they commit to better it next year, coming on a forum and just give feedback without any information reasoning it does not give the full picture....a story always has 3 sides

    Guys do not judge before all the facts are known and do not draw nor make up conclusions. She has the right to appeal it let the process run its course. For interest sake Coryx also has a substance in that we test yoy as positive in a window period of two days after consumption, how many of you use it for a cold?

    This race was well supported in the past espicially with the lead up to 94.7 Bad organising like this will not attract any worthwhile sponsors unfortunately and this will keep the race numbers and support down

    What sort of numbers are you talking about? Satellite this weekend had 5000 over all cats...your event is years ahead in terms of well....everything Keep doing the good work....word of mouth will pay off

    They really need antoher venue...getting 5000 odd people in and out of that venue is asking for trouble. Vehicles coming in and cyclists heading out on the same straight is asking for a serious accident. Add in people who start to stress about not parking in time and stopping next to the road and cycling in adds more possibility of a *&%$ up. They facilities are just not geared for this type of mass event....cap it at 2500 entrants. The route is great and the roads are not tooooooo busy although we had the odd dumb motorist pulling stupid overtaking moves.

    No Willie Smit as well who is on excellent form Clint Hendricks is his team mate at Roadcover We can not judge the riders because they do not pick themselves, which also means we can not comment on their results
