  1. Valid point Pieter, last year I missed the online entry date for Emporers, I made sure I was at the registration the Thursday and they gave me an A seeding no issue at all as I usually ride there. It is very unprofessional with what they did
  2. Impressive!!!
  3. Thanks for all the input guys, races will be done there for training and SA will then be targeted for the big ones Regards Jaco
  4. Thanks for the feedback. My fiance is an elite sponsored local road rider so take it that she won't have any worthwhile training routes or competitions to compete in?
  5. Planned the same but we have a wedding to attend but some of our mates are doing the Mzanzi Crit on Saturday and Emporers the Sunday
  6. I am considering a job offer in Windhoek, what is the cycling like there? Road cycling specifically? If any hub members are from Namibia or know people there?
  7. You are not referring to Mr Grant of a certain old shop in Centurion?
  8. We also use to have a great route around Erasmia Midrand back to Rooihuiskraal we I stayed there...easy 80km route with 1200m of climbing and safe as well, also had an option to add another 25kms around Leeukop if we needed it taking it to 104km and 1490m of climbing
  9. Won't happen KZN have the Marathon World Champs this year and the XCO world cup why the Epic as well. April fools joke
  10. So you basically did want a free wheel build in the end? Just remember....sometimes shops have dead stock items laying around etc. so prices can then be better than other shops
  11. Yes it works I use a Garmin belt on Bryton
  12. Not good any idea of the area?
  13. Bit of a hilly race...not to bad though, an no you must have full license
  14. Hehe bud I have done the Argus 2 times already. Unfortunately I can't take a full weeks leave with my job commitments so I need to squeeze it in over a "long weekend". Both my previous times going down were paid by the work so for me to go down to Cape Town is just to expensive for the weekend just for the Argus. Next is a different story though where it is worth going down doing the Tour de Boland the week and the Argus the Sunday.
  15. It does not make sense to me why one would spend so much money to go do a one day race, say Argus or Amashova etc.
  16. Sure it will work nothing different than sitting on a indoor trainer I believe. Just train properly and do the correct intervals and training. Also which is nice is that one control the variables the whole time.
  17. Local makes a lot more sense than overseas unless you have someone travelling that can bring it in
  18. There were quite a few toilets close to where prize giving was held

  21. Take it you like to hang around your work for as long as you can Great service from them
  22. Also Panorama for us unfortunately....Panorama just to good to let it go
