  1. Wich pass is this? Looks awesome.
  2. Hey geoffro That price seems a bit too much. Make sure the rims you get will be able to use the same spokes then there would be no need to buy new spokes.
  3. Leverage?
  4. Get a single speed.
  5. ? Our team almost had a fist fight over who was going to ride the single speed next.? Ride was great fun. Erm, not THE single speed MY single speed. At least we know you are converted now. And I know your arse is itching already. Anyway at least we were able to enjoy the beers after we gave up. Great weekend though.
  6. Only bad thing was that muck after the rain last night, will have to strip the whole bike. But the single speed sure was sweet this moring :-)
  7. PM me your email. ill send it tomorrow.
  8. I have an old set of alivio 8speed shifters somewhere. interested?
  9. Ok, my sister wants to buy a MTB. So, compared to normal mtb's what are the diffrences to ladies bikes Shorter cranks? Shorter stems? Geometry? Is there anything else and is it worth the price diffrence?
  10. Defnately foldable, I've seen wire beads climb off during cornering or braking.
  11. I beg to differ you can clearly feel the diffrence between alu vs ti.? And JB where do you hear of all the ti's cracking? that must then be the cheap ones that arent welded in a proper argon environment.
  12. Go have a look here guys www.dirtydogmtb.com/2006preview.htm www.dirtydogmtb.com/ who is willing to club in? $250 free shipping.
  13. Depends on the size. Someone is trying to sell a small but it just isn't going.
  14. With who should I talk to if I want to go ride the course a few weeks earlier? I know a few guys have a ride there regularly.
  15. Get one of those spring loaded wall fastners (not a rawl bolt type), screw a threaded rod in, lower into frame until it clips and pull the old seatpost out.
  16. Anyone else have pacages that they can't track, the feature hasd been off now for about a week.
  17. Have it for about 6 months now, originally built the parts of my old bike over. It weighed in at 10.8 with the R7 fork, the marathon added a bit of weight but is much smoother and more adjustable. I guess its about 11 now, the biggest weight problem is the wheels, bar and stem. Frame only is about 1.65 not the lightes but I love it. Even the Zion from Van Nicholas is about 90g lighter but then you lose the seatstay yolke that gives the stiffness. Mine is definately not for sale. If you want one there is actually a distributor in SA, check the site. ? Procrates2009-10-19 10:16:23
  18. Thanks Windblown And please dont for a second think its only looks, smoother than anything but the plate at the stays give you the right stiffness. Also the geometry is very racy but still comfortable. After doing a few alu bikes there is no turning back after riding this, good thing I'll never have to buy a frame again. (+ lifetime waranty) see www.vannicholas.com for more.? Procrates2009-10-18 13:12:38
  19. Here is mine, note no internet pics. The Dutchman. Still on the list is wheels, Shram ox gripshifts and der.
  20. Remember the right hand cup's thread is the other way round. Clocs = loosen
