  1. So I got to work this morning in a pretty bad mood.., and to my surprise I found a brand new stash of this months TREAD magazine. I picked it up and browsed through and somehow this issue really appeals to me. I enjoyed paging through it and I'm certainly going to dig into some of the articles later on today. The TREAD magazine is really growing on me ! Good one TREAD ! Anyone else Liking the TREADs ?
  2. Don't have Pics now ! But bought a Specialized helmet a week ago, a white pearl one. And today I bought a Canecreek forty headset

Ek en My ma het nou nog nooit in die fancyste huise gebly nie so ons kon nie baie gevorderde sekuriteits tegnologie gebruik nie, maar as my ma my een ding geleer het, is dit dat 'n inbreuker-prawn nooit weer sal terug kom as hy behoorlik gedonner is nie. By een spesifieke huis in Johannesburg was ons byna elke week by ingebreuk. Ek glo nog altyd, neem reg in eie hande! Jammer dit moes nou met Jou gebeur!

    MBUK

Hey guys So I assume a lot of you people buy the MBUK (mountain biking uk) magazine. What do you guys think about it? And do you think local magazines stack up to it? For those who don't know it, I'd seriously recommend it. You can get it at CNA or any good book store for R99.95
  6. So I've been planning this sexy bike's build for a while now, and its all coming together ! Will post pics as the build progresses. The components come off a previous XC bike so No hard core jumping, but it will be a nice play bike and something to rip down trails with. Parts include; Fox RL100 Pro-Lite xc wheels (barf) Shim. XT cranks Shim. DX flat pedals Truvatuv Holzfeller DH bars " Hussefelt DH stem No brakes yet..looking to get new XT iceTech. And then the frame... Gt Ruckus Sx dirt jumper frame. But Thanx to #Mad bout mtb(who put in some long, painful hours into it), the pig-ugly blue color has been stripped off and its looking pretty sexy in the Raw Please DO tell me what you think Special thanks To "Mad bout mtb" !!! How the frame looked: Then some parts and the RAW!! Sorry for the **** phone pics
  7. Now this might sound stupid..but I think them prawns sometimes steel bikes to use their parts. On many occasions I've seen rubbish old bikes, clearly old pieces of junk with carbon DTswiss forks, XT drivetrains, Truvativ noir seatposts with sella italia seats! Even a set of DTswiss disc rims, on a bike using V-brakes. All on different bikes. Are they taking one bike and fixing a bunch with it? And how do they put the good parts on their k@k bikes? Is there an ex mechanic or two helping them out?
  8. Very good job on helping out ! I'd say you did enough ! As for the prawn..I hope there's a place in hell reserved for people who steel bikes.
  9. Had one on my very first dirtjumper(15 bikes back)..was not bad..not a very active shock but took the big blows..the ones you find on "xc" bikes are k@k though..
  10. It was f**king amazing ! But I agree, could've been longer..really hate getting into a movie and then it ends ! But the POV was amazing, I love getting a glimpse of what it feels like. ! Now my dirtjumper can't get finished quick enough !!! But to everyone who still has to watch it, I'd be pretty damn amped if I were you ! Thanx James, looking forward to more screenings ! Will be sure to sit at the pink sticker next time
  11. People even use it for downhill racing and freeriding, so its TOUGH and will take big blows Want jy klink SOOO hardcore
  12. Someone somewhere - Asking Alexandria. A lot more subtle than the usual head banging heavymetal the make a good Listen !

  16. I saw a wooden Nixon somewhere...And I fell in love !!! But its as though this bluddy watch has disappeared off the face of the earth !!!
  17. This oke needs a good "koes-plap"(not sure those letters in the correct order would be apropriate) ! I love how this oke sommer also singles out mountain bikers??? #braafeksê
  18. I find that eating lots of small meals through the day helps ALOT ! I'd say six small meals are better than 3 big ones . Have seen shocking results in some mates of mine, losing big amounts of weight in a few short months
  19. Aaah Okay... This raises another question from my side, Anyone wanna trade a fox fork without remote lockout for mine? Must be in really good condition like the one I have
  20. Oh awesome I see...could I maybe take it off temporarily ?
  21. Hey guys So I'm building up a dirtjumper and the fox I'm using has the remote lockout on it. I think it might get in the way so I wanna lose it. How can I take it off at home and can I run the fork normally without it? And when I get it off, does anyone wanna buy it ?? Make me an offer
  22. Sorry, not sure about the spelling, but its when you raw the frame. You strip the paint off it and it looks silver depending on the frame's material.
  23. I know but I like my bikes pimp and looking good !
  24. 2012 range???
  25. Hey Okes So I'm busy building up quite a sexy dirtjumper..basically everything is sorted; fox fork, XT cranks, Ruckus frame(being rawwed ),holzfeller DH handlebars, rawwed hussefelt stem etc. But one thing is missing.. a rear brake! The new line of shimano brakes are very tempting and I definitely love the feel of them... But I heard people mix and match caliper and lever combos ! Witch would be the best combo that won't punish the pocket too much? Or what would be your choice if you were in my situation ?
