  5. ok so back from the doc.between antibiotics and some boereraat that involves linseed and activated charcoal ,it seems as if the infection has been stopped.now it is apparantly between 6 and 8 weeks of treating the wound where the tissue has died.watch out for those 4 legged f ers.
  6. i am a spider.was minding my own bussiness sleeping under my duvet when this man with smelly feet nearly squashed me and the missus making out.i decided to bite him where it will realy realy hurt as he will then not be able to make out with his missus.i only got as far as his ankle and decided i have to get back to my missus with her 8 lovely legs and just left a reminder on his ankle.i see it worked as he is now sleeping with his foot on a pillow above the duvet.regards spider.
  7. will hopefulle give some feedback trow as i made an appointment with the dermatologist as to the road forward.holding thumbs.
  8. guess its taking a week off then.already missed last week.maybe early time for so carbo loading via some beers.
  9. I was bitten by a spider a week ago.I did not catch the f er so i do not know what kind. After speaking to a few medical people it seems it was either a sac or a violin spider but leaning more towards sac spider.I am currently on antibiotics and treating the inflamation. My question is whether i can continue with training as i am in a crucial part training for 70.3 race.
  10. how do you know how many spacers you can fit in?
  11. thanks for all the advise .had me worried for a moment with all those get shorter.i thought for a moment during speedreading that you are suggesting that i should get shorter.
  12. will have to go and have a look.
  13. i have a giant tcr hybrid and would like to sit a little bit more upright while on the hoods or in the drops.i have loosened the top cap and the stem bolts and lifted the stem a bit higher.there is space for some spacers.the top cap still fastens.my question is how do i know how high i can take the stem up? all answers will be welcome.
  14. i sometimes take the route from mosselbay to klein brak and then go via dirtroads to eight bells mountain inn and back via brandwag and hartenbos to mosselbay.marius van der mescht at Monties cycles in msb should be able to hook you up with some routes as well.
  15. saw all the blue and thought bulls supporters only to realise they are empty seats.still shouted for the bulls as they are sa team.
  16. although i have never experienced shin splints,i will go and give this a try.(would a pro iv or a galloway work the best?)
  17. thanks for the feedback.i have been running for nearly 30 years prior to the accident.i started of slowly with walking and then after month or 2 started with 20 min walking as later progressed to 1 min run 4 min walk later 2 run 3 walk etc untill i could run 20m after about 3 months.i try to run 3 times a week and currently do between 8 and 10 km @ 6m/km.i would like to think that it is not too fast too much.it has taken me the best part of a year to get to here.i have never tried compression socks before.
  18. I am looking for informed and knowledgeable feedback(prob should look for another forum) but here goes. I have taken the plunge so to speak and entered 70.3 for next year.not looking to podium at all and the journey is more important than the actual race for personal reasons to me.Of all the disiplines i struggle the most with the running as i am prone to calf issues.would compression socks make any difference as to how sore i feel in the lower leges.I have run a few 2 oceans and even some 100 milers previously, but after some accidents and broken legs, knees and ankles i am just happy to be upright.I do understand that I will not be running 46 min 15km again, but hell i am sore after a run.the muscles are a hurting and not the pins and plates in the legs and i am looking for an answer to that. Any thoughts will be appreciated.
  19. is your 910 xt perhaps for sale?
  20. goggles will differ from face shape to face shape.if possible use some of your frinds goggles to try out.after you have decided which fit is the best buy one.if you are happy after testing it more rigerous,go back and buy a few of them.Zogg predator flex is my goggle of choice.
  21. if matter was provisionally withdrawn the matter can be placed on the roll again.the mere fact that the matter was prov withdrawn is no indication that someone is not guilty.this normally affords the state more time to do a proper investigation rather than rush the case and not having all the evidence to lead during the trial which might end up in the aquital of a guilty man.the sad part is that someone died and that the wheels of justice(including the investigation ) is taking so long.
  22. if you did the race, wear the shirt.if not do not.even if i get a tshirt in the goodie bag(like xterra) i will not wear it prior to finishing the race.just think it is bad karma. but to each his own. i have not done the epic so i will not buy the epic clothing that denotes a finish never mind 3.
  23. i will also vouch for terry re x terra.came out to my neck of the woods and brought a few suites with.swam in a few different models and sizes.he had no problem to assist while i was trying out the various suites.good price as well.best investment i ever made in a wetsuite.
