  1. On the note of wheel suckers, don't be scared to tell the freeloaders to do some work, they usually work for a bit and then are done anyway and will fall off..
  2. For Sure.. if you can stick on someones wheel or in a pack, go for it... just remember the guys wont always warn re holes\rocks etc as on the road....I try to warn guys, but not everyone else does... so be awake...
  3. 1336m ascent and 65.3 km distance - Garmin 500
  4. best cramp prevention is to train harder I am afraid :-)
  5. Man that was tough, note to self, you need to train before attempting this race again..last year I was fit and I loved the route.. this year I am not fit, it was my first MTB race for the year, think I have been on my MTB about 10 times since Jan.. I couldn't handle any of the technical stuff, I was walking down stuff I loved going down last year.. I usually get irritated with guys slowing me down on the tech stuff, but I think I slowed a LOT of guys down.. to all the A batch guys I may have slowed down on the tech stuff, many apologies.. Great route overall, thanks for a great race..
  6. I suggest you take it to Thule and ask to assist, it should not be so slanted to the rear, the rack I mean...one bump and its gonna hit the ground.. the thule shop guys must show you the best way to fix that...
  7. your bikes top tube isn't parallel to the ground is it? it runs at an angle I am sure... move the clamp along vertical bar of the Thule rack....as the clamp doesn't either need to be parallel to the ground... as in your picture
  8. got a late entry from a hubber, not on form at the moment, this is going to be a tough race.. was tough enough last year when I was fit.....
  9. Not sure where this info comes from? never heard anything re Sauser....
  10. Its the best alibi out there... I knew I would be tested, why would I be so stupid?
  11. I understand the disappointment, I feel it too, but it just seems to be a timebomb??
  12. I have asked this question a few times, why are people still surprised by these type of revelations?

could be that you are taking too much or too little nutrition, can have the same effect...PM me your mail address, will send a spreadsheet I created to work out how much you should take in per hour of racing...
