  1. Man that was tough, note to self, you need to train before attempting this race again..last year I was fit and I loved the route.. this year I am not fit, it was my first MTB race for the year, think I have been on my MTB about 10 times since Jan.. I couldn't handle any of the technical stuff, I was walking down stuff I loved going down last year.. I usually get irritated with guys slowing me down on the tech stuff, but I think I slowed a LOT of guys down.. to all the A batch guys I may have slowed down on the tech stuff, many apologies.. Great route overall, thanks for a great race..
  2. I suggest you take it to Thule and ask to assist, it should not be so slanted to the rear, the rack I mean...one bump and its gonna hit the ground.. the thule shop guys must show you the best way to fix that...
  3. your bikes top tube isn't parallel to the ground is it? it runs at an angle I am sure... move the clamp along vertical bar of the Thule rack....as the clamp doesn't either need to be parallel to the ground... as in your picture
  4. got a late entry from a hubber, not on form at the moment, this is going to be a tough race.. was tough enough last year when I was fit.....
  5. Not sure where this info comes from? never heard anything re Sauser....
  6. Its the best alibi out there... I knew I would be tested, why would I be so stupid?
  7. I understand the disappointment, I feel it too, but it just seems to be a timebomb??
  8. I have asked this question a few times, why are people still surprised by these type of revelations?

could be that you are taking too much or too little nutrition, can have the same effect...PM me your mail address, will send a spreadsheet I created to work out how much you should take in per hour of racing...

what was your average HR for the 3 hr run? what did you take on as nutrition?
  13. I wouldn't accept that, you paid for them and you should get a replacement asap....

  17. will post pics once rebuilt with race wheels etc on.. it may not make me faster, but we all know its all about how we look on the bike
  18. so getting the bike back today, looking good.. it took quite a while to do, but apparently dut to the matt and gloss mix and a few other complications it was a tough project.. here are some pics.
  19. which stop was it at?
  20. get a road bike and join a club with super strong riders and try to hang on, this changed how I ride, I joined Velo a few years back and couldn't hold on, now (well not at the moment, been off for a few months) but I can dish out the pain as well - its the surges you need to be able to hold onto, you can simulate this on the IDT or in training on hills, but when you are out there, you have to push so much harder and sometimes so much longer to hold on... your MAX becomes much higher when you have to hold a wheel..
  21. How many of these key variations are there? I have a euroway and roof racks, with locks for the roofracks and the bike racks and eruoway, will check if any keys are interchangeable, they have numbers on the locks, which correspond with the number on the key, which is a bit dodge
  22. great idea, I have a pointer, will be easy to attach somehow it get it straight... naaaaaaaaaaas
