  2. LIKE - I was just about to post this picture, this is a tragedy.. not a shortened Argus.. grow up and stop moaning about the money\Training time\Etc you are "losing"..
  3. Some "true colours" shinning through on this (and the Kaka) thread..
  4. Nice X3 Martin, have the same one :-)
  5. New wheels for Tri Bike :-)
  6. Jarryd was my partner for the wines2whales a few years back, killed me the first day, thought I could keep up.. the 2nd and 3rd day he took it a bit easier on me, did a lot of pocket holding on the climbs.. good guy :-)
  7. Problem is, neither of them, Hullabaloo or Omnico have all the required spares, I am stuck with a useless Easton rear wheel as neither of them can give me spares.. not great at all, pretty disappointing..
  8. I investigated the prescription lens option and the price was ridiculous, decided to rather go for the LASIK Surgery. i know its not an option for everyone, but it has changed my life in a huge way.. count how much you spend on glasses, sunglasses etc over time and then all the hassle involved in glasses, contact lenses .. it really is a good option to explore..
  9. go slow, its about consistency, not speed, see you there.. I did the solo 6hr last year, did 120km I think
  10. I think they do, as people have ridden the stretch before.. pretty sure I have created segments and old results show.. will check and confirm..
  11. Just create a new Segment on the same stretch...
  12. So the TDF reported no adverse findings this year - don't look in the veins, look in the frames...
  13. http://www.cyclingweekly.co.uk/news/latest-news/fresh-motorised-doping-claims-ryder-hesjedals-bike-moves-134745did anyone else see this, looks pretty weird to me..
  14. Brand first run at the last was 3:37/km - 2nd run was 3:44m/km - that is some fast running, especially offroad...
  15. After Eldron beat me by 2min13seconds at the Dualx2, I realised my running sucks and I have decided to give up Duathlons.. kidding, need the time in the saddle, so have opted for the 6hr mtb at PBHS on Sat afternoon..
  16. haha, fo shizzle
  17. Thanks, I have entered and paid online, look forward to my T and Buff :-)
  18. chat to Abel at target autobody in Pretoria - he has done my scott TT bike and my Cannondale flash 29er.. good work.. PM me for details or just google the place..
  19. Vince, will see you there bru, great event, nice safe environment to do 6hrs of riding and a nice track, with some fun little bits to keep it interesting...
  20. I saw online that entries will be possible on the day?
  21. the difference is he was giving his opinion\reason on why he and others prefer to protects themselves with a safety car.. You were telling him what he should do or shouldn't do, not what you do.. if that is what you do, then its great, well done, you are willing to take that risk when going out on the road on your bike...... we aren't all willing to accept the risk and you cant tell us we need to accept the risk.. but that is just my opinion.. its not personal.
  22. I believe you were the one calling other people idiots, and forcing your opinions on others - Tubehunter was merely explaining the reason why we have had to resort to riding with a safety vehicle.. its not safe out there and joining a club that has a safety vehicle following is one of the ways we have had to adapt, to survive..
  23. Pabloesque - do you think its a joke or he is overreacting with that pic as a reply to his post?
  24. Some know the story - Earlier this year I was taken out by a motorist, we were a group training for ironman, riding in single file.. the guy took a chance and tried to pass us, but as he was passing, an oncoming car got in the way and he had to cut in front and took me out... it was end of my ironman and I had broken bones and a hefty bill which I had to fit (different story re trying co claim anything from a motorist that hits you) - I got off relatively lightly, if you can consider what happened last weekend - if we had a car behind us, this wouldn't have happened.. I am super scared to ride on the road now and don't want to go ride on the road without a safety car.. I have a 4 month old boy now who I want to have a father growing up, I have a right to ride on the road and I have the right to have a safety car behind me to protect me.. if the law doesn't protect you and wont even allow you to claim for medical expenses from the driver that hit you, then I am afraid we have to make our own plans to keep ourselves safe... sorry for the impatient drivers out there, but my safety is more valuable than the 2 minutes you have to wait..
