    This beatdown on the driver cannot be condoned......., but im dying to hear the cyclists side of the story? What made them so angry?

    DIPSLICK........ Your example is a good one. Probably not what happened, but it highlights how important the real story is. I had less success in trying to put that point across and was accused of "being one of them". I hate violence and this behaviour is way out of line.... But, If it comes out that earlier in the day that van was seen harrasing a lone female cyclist, or had tried to run someone off the road (hyperthetically speaking)........ Then i'm guessing everyone will want the drivers head on a stake...

    No, niether.... But when you see such agression, you would assume there was provoking involved. Regardless of what provoked it the behaviour is unacceptable... i never once condoned it.

    Regardless of what the "eye witness" says, I just cant see a stationary van causing such a violent outburst? Perhaps i'm wrong?

    Surely there is more to this...... That van driver must have done something to make these guys get so wild?

    Yip, 100% he was on a 27,5.... and he has voiced his preference.... just hope he hasnt forced it on Phillip. Philip has raced on nothing other than 29er for a long while. Epic terrain vs. 29 .vs. 27,5?? We''ll see!!! I'm not convinced that height is a big factor in wheel size when amongst average height people, but Phillip is also alot taller than Nico.

    On that type of terrain surely 29er is optimum? No reason to ride 27,5 other then marketing.

    Dude, glad you ok..... Its a sad situation. I cant speak from experience, but my gut tells me you must'nt get angry in that situation. Rather submit to their requests. Its seriously f@#$ked up situation, because it makes them realise we are easy targets. But, 3 agro / possibly high on drugs / guns blazing guys = possible dead if you resist.

    Very good point, BUT... "your bike porn" would be your stash of bike porn on your computer!! not nessecarily YOUR bikes? If it said "Post your porn"..... Would "your porn" be pics of you?? or from you stash of porn?? :eek:

    I took a clip on my Gopro on tuesday of a local bus going high speed in the fast lane down the notorious Fields hill (KZN province)... he is going way over 100khp and pushing cars aside in the fast lane.My question is, if i post the clip in the public domain or in social media, can the bus company take legal action agaisnt me? Do i have to submit it to the Police or authorities?

    Iv had a fox and a rockshok fork warranty crown / stanctions swopped for that before.... and teh replacement ones eventually started the same creaking after about 6 months or so. Given up now....

    X0 type 2 on my bike and XT shadow plus on my wifes..... i think its the single best technology advancement in the last 10 years... Tough to say, but i think i prefer the XT? nice that you can release it when riding onthe road... just lets it shift a bit easier.

    The fork travel on his bike looks nice and long? Definetly longer then 100mm? good for rock gardens? Compensating for 29er?
