Terminator like I said, the biggest immediate improvement you will have is the set up and insoles the Specialised guys fit you with It'll make training bearable again I started cycling in September just to complete 94.7 as a result the bug has bitten hard! But so did the pain in my knees. (Both knees been operated on twice from rugby injuries) as well as ligament damage. The fitment has allowed me to train 4 - 5 hard hours in the saddle with no 'unusual' discomfort
Terminator book yourself a fitting with Specialised BG guys. They do full assessments of knee and join movements and will set the bike up, as well as your shoes so that the travelling motion of your knees is straightened out, reducing pressure on the tendons I went for it and it made such a difference!
