  1. No, but thanks for the tip. Looks worth checking out.
  2. I looked early in the evening and again just before one in the morning, but didn't see anything. Beautiful clear night but maybe just too bright here in Centurion. All I saw were a few stars.
  3. Started this and loving it. Grim, dark and brutal, an unflinching look at tomorrow written like an attack on all the senses and sensibilities. "The children are the future. And someone is turning them into highly trained killing machines. Straight out of school, Griffin, a junior Investigations agent for the North American Trade Union, is put on the case: Find and close the illegal crèches. No one expects him to succeed, Griffin least of all. Installed in a combat chassis Abdul, a depressed seventeen year old killed during the Secession Wars in Old Montreal, is assigned as Griffin's Heavy Weapons support. Nadia, a state-sanctioned investigative reporter working the stolen children story, pushes Griffin ever deeper into the nightmare of the black market brain trade. Deep in the La Carpio slums of Costa Rica, the scanned mind of an autistic girl runs the South American Mafia's business interests. But she wants more. She wants freedom. And she has come to see humanity as a threat. She has an answer: Archaeidae. At fourteen, he is the deadliest assassin alive. Two children against the world. The world is going to need some help."
  4. Yebo, still watching. Not always sure why but then every now and again they pull off an episode so good I remember: "Oh yes - THAT'S why!" The new season isn't bad. About as you'd expect. My favourite episode so far was the one where .
  5. Official IMDB 2017 Top Ten (Most consistently popular, not critical assessment, based on page views not Nielsen ratings) 10. Taboo 9. The Defenders 8. American Horror Story 7. American Gods 6. Vikings 5. Stranger Things 4. Rick and Morty 3. The Walking Dead 2. 13 Reasons Why 1. Game of Thrones
  6. I've tried to stay away from the history of the Vikings at that time as I enjoy watching the show and don't want it to be spoiled I know both Bjorn and Ivar created huge legends themselves but I don't know all the details so it's nice to think that anything can still happen - especially now that Floki seems to have lost his everloving mind. That way, scenes like this are ridiculously intense because I have no idea what to expect!
  7. My Top Five TV Shows of 2017 1. Mindhunter 2. Taboo 3. Agents of SHIELD 4. Happy! 5. Shokugeko no Soma (Food Wars) Notes: Mindhunter and Taboo blew me away and along with 2016's Westworld have made me excited to watch TV again. Also get my votes for most eagerly anticipated sequels. SHIELD has steadily improved by taking risks and shifting the focus and genre of each season. Happy! might be new but it made me happy and what more could I ask for? Shokugeki is quite simply fantastic and not just one of my favourite animes, but one of my favourite all-time TV shows. Honourable Mentions: - American Gods. I really liked it and it would definitely be in my Top Ten, but I like action and humour a bit more than drama. - Vikings. With the loss of Travis Fimmell Vikings has dropped out of my Top Five. It is still one of my favourite shows and I'll be keeping an eye on Alex Høgh Andersen as Ivar the Boneless to see if he can fill his daddy's shoes (hur, hur). - There are other shows that are just as good and might even be better in some people's opinion, but these are MY Top 5 shows of 2017.
  8. I hate myself for laughing.
  9. If Hawkeye and Green Arrow had a baby.
  10. When someone's trying to steal your spotlight.
  11. Real or fake, this bike thief got what he deserved for Christmas.
  12. Wolf Warrior 2 (2017) 7/10. Over the top action movie that has become the highest-grossing Chinese film ever released. Lots of wire action but instead of kung fu, these are spec ops guys who use AK 47s and tanks. Like most of these, you will enjoy it more if you can switch off your mind and ignore things like story and plot, instead focusing on the extravagant action sequences.
  13. Patton Oswalt replied to a few comments on this topic, and so far he's convinced me to wait before I write the kid off. I can't see how any kid (or anyone else, for that matter) can hang out for more than a few minutes with somebody like Chris Evans before wanting to be a better human being, so I'm still hopeful that he can be shown there is a better way to live and a better way to be.
  14. Made some flatbread wraps last night. Very happy with them as it was my first attempt and they came out quite tasty. Definitely going to try again, as they are super easy and quick to make. http://www.recipetineats.com/easy-soft-flatbread-yeast/ Ingredients 2 cups / 300g plain flour (all purpose flour) (level cups, unsifted, not packed), + keep 1/4 cup extra for dusting & adjusting dough 1/2 tsp salt 3 1/2 tbsp / 50g butter (1.75 oz) 3/4 cup / 185 ml milk 1/2 tbsp oil (for cooking) Instructions Combine butter and milk and heat until butter is just melted - on stove or in microwave. Combine 2 cups flour, salt, butter and milk. Sprinkle work surface with flour then knead for a few minutes until it is smooth - it doesn't need much kneading. Add extra flour if the dough is too sticky. Wrap with cling wrap and rest at room temperature for 30 minutes or so. Dust bench top with flour, cut dough into 4 pieces, roll into balls, then roll out into about 1/8" / 0.3cm thick rounds. Heat 1/2 tbsp olive oil in a non stick pan over medium heat - or lower if you have a heavy based skillet. (Note 1) Place one flatbread in the pan, cook for around 1- 1 1/2 minutes - it should bubble up (see photo in post)- then flip and cook the other side, pressing down if it puffs up. There should be a smallish golden brown spots on both sides. Stack the cooked bread and keep wrapped with a tea towel - the moisture helps soften the surface, making them even more pliable. Continue to cook with remaining pieces. Optional: Brush or spray bread with olive oil or melted butter, for a more luxurious finish. Or even with melted butter mixed with minced garlic for a garlic butter version!

  16. Elon Musk seems to be in a good mood. I suppose if I made $1 million by selling 50,000 hats I'd be in a good mood too.
  17. And then record it and put it on Twitter? There's an idea... Maybe I can get The Avengers to show up at my house!
  18. Jessica Chastain talking about sleeping with a spider in her tent when she was in SA on her honeymoon. Kevin Hart: "That's how white people die!"
  19. I really don't know if this Keaton Jones story is a positive, heart-warming, Christmas feel-good story or if I hate the little bastard a little bit now. "Keaton Jones, a boy from Knoxville, TN, broke America's collective heart this week, after his mother posted a video of him tragically describing his bullies from school... Chris Evans recently responded to Keaton's video on Twitter... extended an invite for Keaton and his mom to attend the premiere of Avengers: Infinity War, which will be happening next spring." http://comicbook.com/marvel/2017/12/10/chris-evans-avengers-infinity-war-keaton-jones-bullying-video/

  21. Yes, my brother and I switched over to mainly pork and chicken, with lamb and beef as a treat every now and again. Lots cheaper and forces us to be more creative. Plus, once you get used to it it's amazingly versatile and flippen tasty. Sent from my Nexus 5 using Tapatalk
  22. Legen...dary.
  23. Alita: Battle Angel by James Cameron and Robert Rodriguez. Hope this turns out to be great!
  24. I'm on book 7 of the Undying Mercenaries series. Great fun.
