  1. I prefer my TV crushes a bit more dangerous.
  2. Finally found a pizza dough recipe I really like: Simple and straightforward and easy to make. https://www.jamieoliver.com/recipes/...e-detail/4539/ I don't have a pizza stone so I just use a flat baking tray and there was enough dough to make three large pizzas. This is the third or fourth recipe I've tried and by far the tastiest and the closest to what I imagined when I started learning to make my own pizzas. Didn't take photos but I will next time!
  3. I spoke about a series I really enjoyed a while ago: Will Wight's Cradle series. Then, a couple of weeks ago I read the Coiling Dragon series by I Eat Tomatoes. This was just as entertaining and I ended up sending a tweet to Will Wight to tell him about it - and he replied by saying he loved it just as much! What I didn't know was that these series are actually part of a genre: Wuxia. Wuxia literally means "martial hero". Think Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon: People whose martial arts are so developed that they can do incredible things by harnessing their qi, like leap incredible distances and punch through walls. Then, there's one step further: Xianxia. Xianxia means "immortal hero" so it's a fantasy-fied version of wuxia: Demons, dragons and other magic beasts, demigods and gods, etc. Basically wuxia is where a guy can punch so hard you can almost hear a sonic boom. Xianxia is where a guy can punch so hard he can literally punch a hole in space and time. So, if you like fantasy but you'd also like the hero to deliver a kung fu kick to a dragon's face, check out these genres.
  4. There's just... something... about this video.

  8. This sh!t gets weirder and weirder every year. "Things got extra freaky at Gucci’s Milan Fashion Week show on Wednesday when designer Alessandro Michele sent models down the runway carrying replicas of their own heads." http://www.huffingtonpost.co.za/entry/models-heads-gucci-milan-fashion-week_us_5a8dc88be4b00a30a2520242 http://www.eluniversal.com.mx/sites/default/files/u19663/model-presents-a-creation-from-the-gucci-autumnwssssinter-2018-women-collection-during-milan-fashion-we.jpg
  9. From now on all our matches should be scheduled for rainy days.
  10. Hopefully it's part of a plan to get our batsmen used to top-class spin bowlers rather than just sheer incompetence and stupidity.
  11. Somebody's going to sell a loooooot of Black Panther costumes.
  12. I can't wait to see it but I will just have to be patient, since I detest going to the theater. I used to love it, would often go and watch a movie whenever I had a free morning or afternoon as a student. But the last several times I went other moviegoers would ruin the experience for me so I just completely stopped. Plus, we have a great home system, comfortable couches and a beer fridge!
  13. Nice, just saw they announced the premiere date for the new season of Bosch. "Season four of the Emmy-nominated series will premiere exclusively on Amazon Prime Video on Friday, April 13." Another one to add to my list.
  14. Which shows are you most looking forward to this year? After finishing Altered Carbon there are not many shows currently on that I'm really excited about. I still watch SHIELD, Supernatural, Lucifer and a couple of others plus some anime, but nothing is blowing me away. So, which shows of 2018 are you the most excited about? The first one I'm looking forward to is Jessica Jones (Mar 8). I was a big fan of the first season so I'm looking forward to the second season. And, of course, Westworld starts 22 April and if it's anything as good as the first season it's going to be fricking fantastic. Krypton starts Mar 21 and should be worth taking a look, though I'm not holding my breath. Same with Cloak and Dagger (June 7). Castle Rock might be interesting and I'm holding thumbs for DC's Titans. Can't say the descriptions for Marvel's New Warriors or Lost in Space are wowing me, though I will check them out of course. I wasn't a big fan of Legion so I don't know if I'll bother with the second season. Not saying it's bad, just wasn't my cup of tea. I've probably missed a few, but these are the ones I've marked as Worth Taking A Look.
  15. I first discovered him when I watched the 2010 Crossroads Guitar Festival movie a few years back. If you're into good old rock it's a Must-See. Gary Clark Jr playing Bright Lights live on stage blew me away.
  16. Made my own scones for the first time. Easier than I thought and tasty! Savoury cheese scones: 1 cup flour 1 cup grated cheese 1 cup milk (I used yogurt because I thought we didn't have milk) 2 tspns baking powder salt to taste I added some cayenne pepper and leftover shredded chicken as well. Mix, spoon in muffin tray and bake at 180c for about 30 minutes
  17. I've been a Gary Clark Jr fan for years but this song awakens the beast even more than usual. Cranking it with the bass turned up makes me feel like going out to punch a super villain.
  18. Well, that was pretty fantastic to watch (finally). However, though I'm not a cricket expert, I don't think the result would have been so favorable if the rain hadn't cut down our overs, allowing us to play it like a T20.
  19. My brother took this photo this morning. Now I'm looking up Duck L'Orange recipes. [emoji39] Sent from my Nexus 5 using Tapatalk
  20. I remember this game. Is this the updated version?
  21. Posting this here after that discussion about Nando's and their prices. Last year we got an airfryer and it's the best decision we ever made. Started out by making our own fries but you can do so much more with it. Roast chicken is the easiest thing in the world and best of all, you don't need any oven bags and it takes less than 40 minutes. One tip: When you get an airfryer, get the biggest one you can. As you start learning how to use it you will want to use it more and more. We got the Philips XL and it's just large enough to fit a medium-sized whole chicken. Recipe: Couldn't be easier. Rub chicken with lemon juice, then a little olive oil. Spice to taste. Pop in preheated airfryer at 180c for 20 minutes, flip and roast another 15 minutes. Take the chicken out and make sure to let it rest before you carve it. The skin will be crispy but the inside will still be very tender and juicy and if you carve it too soon you will waste all those juices. NB: My times are calculated on a small to medium chicken that has been completely defrosted and taken out of the fridge at least 30 minutes before roasting.
  22. Just make your own. We have one of those large air fryers, the Philips XL I think, and it takes around 35 minutes to roast a whole chicken. 20 minutes, flip, 15 minutes and rest. It comes out perfect: Crispy skin, tender and juicy on the inside, and flavoured exactly the way you like it. Best of all a whole chicken costs around R40/kg at Spar (at the moment it's R32/kg since it's on special). We now do this twice a week and I don't think I'll ever buy take-away chicken from a Nando's or anywhere else ever again.
  23. I disagree. I think a space program is about more than just money and resources. For instance... Sent from my Nexus 5 using Tapatalk
