  1. It might just be me. Inevitably I compared it with Vikings and for me it just didn't measure up.
  2. Suddenly I feel this would be a good weekend for a braai.
  3. Knightfall was underwhelming. Happy! was FANTASTIC.
  4. This made me grin.
  5. Inappropriate touching in Hollywood is getting out of hand.
  6. Having to wait for my brother to finish work before I can watch this is driving me nuts.
  7. Good thinking.
  8. Bugger me, turns out fire mages are real. Helluva casting time, though. https://imgur.com/gallery/2hnH6A0 (GiIF too large, won't play here).
  9. New season of Vikings decided to take the batshit crazy of Ivar the Boneless up a level. I miss Travis Fimmel but I'm intrigued enough to keep watching - for now. New season of Marvel's SHIELD started off quite good. Taking place in space this season it seems, with aliens galore, so more emphasis on the sci-fi aspects.
  10. In my admittedly not-expert and very amateurish opinion, these guys and their coach prove that we have the potential to be world champions. In my crazier fantasies I replace our whole backline and loose forwards with them, then get some giant 300kg sumo wrestlers to scrum for us. Aah, bugger it, I'm just going to watch The Replacements again.
  11. See all evil. Hear all evil. Do all evil.
  12. Since the Friday trash talk has already started, here's Charlize Theron who says she's gonna kick your ****ing ass. https://www.instagram.com/p/BcC-0DQAX8q/ Sent from my Nexus 5 using Tapatalk
  13. Heavenly happiness for any fan of SA rugby, watching the Blitzbokke play. Sent from my Nexus 5 using Tapatalk
  14. At least there's one Bok squad still worth watching.
  15. The Foreigner (2017). A solid 7/10. When Jackie Chan isn't happy Jackie he is quite an intimidating Jackie. Good performances from him and Brosnan. Character-driven rather than plot-driven, but enough depth from two veterans of the screen to be satisfying.
  16. Brian Michael Bendis did a run at Marvel called the The Ultimates which was a version of The Avengers aimed at adults. In it, Hulk was much more... uhm, "potent" and at one stage he escaped to find Betty... It wasn't that difficult to distract him, though. http://media.tumblr.com/tumblr_lz14aqZ9f21qewl6m.jpg
  17. I'm the opposite. Now that I've seen the trailer I will try my best to stay away from it and any and all speculations about the movie, so I can enjoy it more without knowing all the spoilers beforehand. Since I detest going to theaters and we have a nice enough home system that it's worth waiting until I can watch an HD copy at home, it means I see all the movies much later than anyone else and I can't always join in on the conversations, but I'm fanboy (or pigheaded) enough to stick to it.
  18. I would cry at that wedding too.
  19. Just wear your Hello Kitty jumpsuit and you'll be fine.
  20. I refute your argument thus:
  21. I got goosebumps watching that trailer, though I do hope they spend a little more time on Thanos's CGI.
  22. Photo of this pupper made my head hurt.
  23. Are you experienced? November 27, 1942 – September 18, 1970. http://images05.military.com/media/veteran-jobs/content-images/jimihendrix.jpg
  24. Started the Undying Mercenaries series by B.V. Larson. Rather fun so far. Has a Starship Troopers feel but without the idealistic military overtones. Rather, Earth is so primitive and backward that the only thing we can offer to the Galaxy that is of value is our willingness to go anywhere and kill anything.
  25. And how do we keep on winning Miss Universe each year? It's like the other galaxies aren't even trying. Sent from my Nexus 5 using Tapatalk
