No it is the rims - period. Even if you built them with stronger spokes that will allow a heavier rider they will still not last. They are a soft as a newborn's bum...

Similar wear as Maxxis but opposed to "soft' compounds such as RR,Spez etc. But the rubber compound is far more grippy. Crossmarks must be some of the "hardest"rubber and unfortunately also poorest gripping tyre I have ever ridden... Reminds me of permatubes! But that is just me.

Geax Saguaro's is your best bet for the type/terrain (incl tar) that you ride... Racing Ralphs too soft.

Saguaro's will be perfect. Other tried and tested combo's are Racing Ralphs (Front and Rear) or Rocket Ron Front / Racing Ralph Rear. Geax more durable though - will get more mileage from them...

Yes - the Mavic QR Adapters are pretty universal and fits into most 15mm Endcaps to allow QR use.
