Are the front forks really worth it on kids 20" bikes? Can anyone with experience comment? Just wondering if they just look cool, but add weight? Considering a fixed fork for my son, when he gets a 20"...

There are some great deals, and I have always been very happy with the general pricing and staff at CWC. It is one of my go to shops for sure. I'd like to know if the new Rapide External dropper is the same as the Lyne External V2... Trying to compare the service kits online, but it isn't conclusive.

Cool, I hear you... But I said invoices can help... (i.e. if you have invoices its a bonus, then the buyer could consider skipping the LBS check-up. Without invoices, its really not a big deal for the buyer or seller to take the bike to a LBS.

One thing I would like for Tyberberg MTB club is better communication. I have never received an email about the AGM, etc. It would be cool if they distributed the minutes of the AGM too via email. Or is it just me that is missing this? An explanation of the increased fees would be appreciated. A jump to 18% just doesn't make sense without some sort of justification... Maybe there are some major improvements coming up, then I'd understand.

I'm not sure how this is in contradiction to my post? So you would know what to look for when buying a bike. And if someone bought a bike from you (which was well maintained by you), if they took it to a LBS, it would get a "thumbs up". FYI, I do most of my servicing too...

Unless you do all you servicing yourself, and know what to look for, it is always a good idea to take a prospective 2nd hand bike to your LBS and let them give it a thorough assessment. If the owner has invoices proving the most recent services, that helps too.

It looks like Rapide external droppers now also have the fixed cable mount (attached to the collar) To me the Lyne and Rapide look identical now? The specs are also identical, including the mass, to the gram...

Some rim and tire combos can be a pain. With my current combo, the bead won't seat at all even with a compressor, with value core removed. I have to do this: - Inflate with a tube (this will seat the bead all round) - Then release the pressure - Loosen the bead on one side ONLY. - Then remove the tube (without disturbing the bead on the one side). - Then fit the tubeless valve (without the core) - Pump with compressor to seat the other side of bead - Then deflate, and fit the valve core - Pump up!

Nope, I had done my homework.

I've been in a similar situation to the seller, and I told buyers offering more money that I already had a buyer, and I stuck to the original price.

IMHO, the price was set by the original ad. It was a dick move to increase it afterwards.
