  1. Wonder what they would average around a cycle race route say the argus. Imagine the straight after smitswinkel!
  2. Sometimes half a turn on the barrel adjuster will sort it out.
  3. I've got no problem with it. Love future life. Under the CPA they are required to inform consumers.
  4. As far as I understand GM maize is it's been modified to be weather and bug resistant. If you're not going to eat GM maize you might aswell give up beef, milk'chicken etc as they all eat maize derived feed. I think all grains are going to the GM route as farmers cannot afford failed crops anymore.
  5. I have stopped supporting my old LBS. Ive spent basically a R100k with them. My wife tore the padding on our little girls pram, so off to my LBS i go. buy grip tape and ask them to fit it. They charge my R60 to fit it. Now R60 isn't going to break me but hell chaps R60 for 5mins work! Next service and bike bought won't be from them.
  6. Bought the strawberrry I think it's lekker/ First time I tried future life didnt like the texture. But now I smaak it. I use 4tbs 120ml 2% milk and im good to go.
  7. Torque is more important i think. Power is how fast you can punch torque is how hard. I'd rather take a punch from the Pacman than Mike Tyson.
  8. My polo's turbo was KKK
  9. I think hybrids are more in danger of becoming less popular (in SA anyway) I was reading a international forum and the new polo blue GT gives 62.8mpg. uses cylinder deactivation whenpottering around town. 0-100 7.9s top speed 235kmh. Not bad for a car that is way prettier than a prius and way faster and lighter on fuel where it really counts in the real world.
  10. Nope at the coast. The only prob my TDi gave was my air mass sensor packed up. Never had probs with my turbo even after 160 000km. The guy that bought my car raves about it. I got into the habit of letting my car idle for at least a minute esp after driving it hard or long distances. I don't believe that inferior oil pumps were fitted. People bought diesels and drove them like petrols.
  11. I've never had any problems with CWC. If I have had to encounter a problem I would pick up the phone and chat with Chris jr or Snr or whoever.
  12. I dunno so much about TDi engines becoming history. I loved my diesel. I'm really kinda of sceptical about these tiny little motors making so much power. I believe there will be heaps of failures to come before it is perfected. Just like the problems BMW and VW had with their TDi's in the beginning. Alittle bird at the my VW garage has told me about 4 failures already.
  13. I like it. But as with everyone else I thought the flip side would be inverted.
  14. I'm so happy to see I'm not the only one thats struggling with work and ride time. But I will MAKE time to ride. Man I'm not looking forward to the hills again.
  15. Hi By the sounds of things it's your air mass sensor. My TDi had a similar problem, it would accelerate up to a certain point and then the poweerrrrrrrrrr would drop away. Had it checked at the AMS was faulty. R4000 later prob solved. Bosch Diesel Electric has them for cheaper but you're better off buying original.
  16. Prob abit far away from you. But Nico Malan pass in the EC 14km,virtually now flat sections total climb prob about 1000m more or less. Will be riding it soon.
  17. Unfortunately because there seems to be no clear Raleigh agents in SA I will either be buying a Scott or specialized come october/november.
  18. the Axis AR10 is the 2009/2010 RC6000c with Ultegra group. Still a good frame with even better components.
  19. I managed to find the song from the DSTV promo "live inspired" what a song!
  20. What a damn fine game of rugby. Well done Sharkies. Bodes well for our tour.
  21. I saw her. Not to exciting.
  22. I punch a big hole in the air so Im used to being wheel sucked.
  23. I had a Raleigh team frame like that with 105. When I got it I weighed 125kg. I rode that frame for 2 years and not a single problem. Only reason I sold it is because my bike shop offered me a awesome deal on the RC8000C with SRAM. Still miss my bike.Go for it.
