  2. Is the Polar CS 500 that bad? Will check out the Garmin now quickly
  3. Maybe the reply was abit cocky. But bud you saved money, got what you wanted. Try dealing with some other LBS who will treat you like you're a annoyance when you want to order something they dont have in stock. Did you pick up the phone and talk to Jnr or Snr?
  4. I'm in the market for a new computer and boils down to either The sigma Rox 9 Or polar CS500. Would appreciate comments on which is best. I have a sigma BC 2006 MHR now. Not keen on the GPS dowikkie thingies

  8. Thanks agent. I just hope they see the thread. I was going to upgrade from my RC8000 to a Specialized, after chatting to Brandon today, a Scott it will be.
  9. Last night on a thread about Raleighs I made a comment without thought and without the full knowledge of the situation between Probike and Raleigh with regards to warranty issues. I spoke to Brandon Els on the phone today and now fully understand the situation. Brandon and the guys at Probike are doing their best to help on all warranty issues. I apologise for any inconvienece caused to Probike. Regards Steven
  10. If you can afford 20k for a bike you can't afford not to insure it.
  11. My bike is insured for 30K with Alex Forbes.Everything is covered from wheels to my computer. Pay a R108pm.
  12. Hope you get it all back bud
  13. Yeah agree with Tank man. Shouldnt be any issue.
  14. Oh and welcome to cycling and the Hub.
  15. You said road mostly, so go for a road bike. Raleigh might not be one of the botique brands out there. But as a starter bike you can't go wrong. You'll get good bang for your buck component wise etc. And there are loads around 2nd hand right now. Saddles hard to advise on, your touche might not like a saddle someone else's does. Best to try before you buy. my 2c
  16. Why not take them to a place who do stickers etc and get them to make and fit them for you?
  17. Hope he doesn't slip through the crack.
  18. Im not the worlds best cyclist by a long shot. But your ratio sounds good to me. I ride 53-39 11-25 in races and train on 53-39 11-23. The only thing I would advise is changing to a 11-25 for that extra bit of speed. That way you dont lose your climbing ratios. My 2c
  19. I reckon if you're not a pro, dont wear pro kit. Why advertise for people that don't pay you? I like plain kit.

  21. I had the black an red team frame and never had one issue. Only reason I sold it was because I was offered a killer deal on a RC8000C. there is nothing wrong with a raleigh carbon frame except for the few issues they had.
  22. That could be abit strange. I saw one at the 70.3 a couple of years ago.
  23. Hey Skidmark Do the Makro/Lorriane primary school race the 10th Sept,90km Will be good introduction to racing and it takes you over pretty the same route.
