  1. VAT factor is 1.165 not 1.164. Not that it makes a lot of difference.
  2. Depends on how you ride and what sort of workout you are doing. If you are doing a power based workout then no, you probably won't spin out (in fact I just leave it in the same gear for the entire workout and focus on keeping my cadence around 90 or so and it adjusts the resistance so that you are putting out the target power). If you are simulating an actual ride then on the "downhills" you will spin out just as much as if you were riding the actual route.
  3. Much better than last week. My legs are definitely feeling it this morning: Time: 10:23 IF: 0.75 TSS: 766
  4. Did a 2:53 from CL. The legs were an absolute shambles after the MTB race the day before so every group I was in dropped me on anything even vaguely resembling an uphill. Burned all my matches on Saturday getting through the thick mud on the MTB route. But at least I didn;t do a 3:00:02 again like last year Bike after the MTB race:
  5. CL with an ASG seeding of 29. Haven't seen anything about the MTB race yet.
  6. That sounds uncomfortable. Is it easier to wash skidmarks out of baggies?
  7. Absolute shambles of a week (work and overseas visitors): Time: 2:20 IF: 0.95 TSS: 220 Basically 1 swim, 1 run and and Over/Unders session. Hopefully this week goes better.
  8. This is exactly how I felt until I tried bibs. Now I'm a complete convert. Pretty much only use the shorts I still have on the IDT. Bibs for all "proper" rides.
  9. If it had been cancelled I would have been disappointed (would have been the second time I'd tried and failed to do the race) but the trip would still have been worth it to watch the MTB world cup on Saturday and see some friends who stay down there.
  10. Or it will just decrease the group riding skills in other races
  11. EXACTLY!!!
  12. I've entered again because this race and I have some unfinished business after I did a 3:00:02 last year... I just couldn't stick with the group after doing the MTB race the day before so this year I'm doing the MTB race again
  13. I was also in 2B and I can 100% agree with this. Some good communication, signaling and holding of lines but also a lot of nonsense. I nearly got taken out twice by people swerving across the road... Ended up going down most of Chappies by myself because the bunch I was with at the top was hazardous.
  14. Oh no, my comment wasn't about her age, it was about the fact that it's awkward for a 32 year old man to be acting like a teenage girl at a Justin Bieber concert
  15. I'm going to go full on fan-girl if I get to meet Kate (which would be slightly less awkward if I wasn't a 32 year old man)
  16. I can second this. I'm single and live by myself so the fact that they deliver all the ingredients you need for 3 delicious meals for one person is super handy. I've found the selection to be good and most of the meals have been delicious.
  17. Yeah, I had the same issue. Took a dirt nap in November and ended up claiming about R33k so no points to miles for me.
  18. 4hrs and 277 TSS Did a threshold test on Tuesday that broke me for the rest of the week, then I was away for the weekend so no riding then either. On the plus side, my FTP went up by 20w although I nearly vommed towards the end of the test (which I'm told is how you know you're doing it right )
  19. It depends on what you are going for. My average TSS per week since the beginning of the year is about 390 (in around 6 hours per week) and that has managed to get me to a seeding index of 29. And a CTL of 51. This is coming from a base of almost 0 because I spent 2 months doing nothing after breaking my wrist and my face at the beginning of November. But as I already said, it all really depends on what you are trying to achieve. If you want to get into A batch or do Iron Man its probably not enough
  20. I'm not in a rush. Got about 14k points so far (2.5k for online assessments, rest for fitness activities). Should hit the fitness limit in about June and I'll do the health assessment and HIV test when they come to our offices (around June/July) and that should get me to diamond.
  21. I just got the tray for my PCS-10 (like 2 weeks ago) and honestly I'm not 100% sure its worth it. Can get in the way of spinning the crank depending on how the bike is clamped and it's also on the wrong side of the bike so you constantly have to reach through or around the bike to get anything out of it.
  22. I'm in 2B at 6:56
  23. TSS: 546 IF: 0.76 Time: 8h37m Trying to get the fitness back after time off the bike sucks...
  24. ^ Eina!
  25. Your thresholds are set wrong. If they were correct it should be impossible to get a TSS of over 200 on a 2 hour race.
