  1. Event Name: Challenge Cape Town When: 10 November 2019 Where: Big Bay - Cape Town City Centre, Western Cape Category: Multisport The City of Cape Town will host its first middle distance triathlon on Sunday, 10 November 2019. CHALLENGECAPETOWN will comprise a 1.9km swim in Big Bay, a 90km cycle with three turning points along the coastal road that will end in the CBD, and a 21km run that will be completed over three laps in the Zonnebloem / District Six precinct. This is one of only a handful point-to-point events in the country, where the start and finish are in two different locations. In an historic moment, the finish stretch of the cycle leg will see athletes sprinting along the iconic Government Avenue in the Company’s Garden - the first cycle race to do so. Situated at the edge of the Company’s Garden and at the foot of Table Mountain, the Cape Town High School sports fields will be transformed into a spectator friendly finish line and race village on Race Day. The 7km run loop will become a hive of activity as spectators and supporters line the streets to watch all the race day action, while athletes will pass some of the City's historical buildings and iconic landmarks. Top triathletes include Tim Don, Laura Siddall, Matt Trautman, Bradley Weiss, James Cunnama and Jeanni Seymour. Go to Event Page
  2. Hi Hubbers! CALLING ALL LADY RIDERS!! My husband recruited me into the wonderful world of mountain biking pretty recently - Although I love hiking, Mountain Biking takes being in nature to a whole new level with a competitive edge. Im a beginner - still waiting to upgrade from my entry level Giant Revel. I would really love to set up a social biking group for women who want to ride together and meet new friends while enjoying the awesome trails in Cape Town and surrounds. Is there anyone out there that would be interested? - no fees, just fun! Guys - Tell your ladies to join the Forum! - its a bit of a sausage fest out here.

  8. Hi Guys, So CycleLab is closing down on Buitengracht street - They were my go to place for a shower when i commute into town, and it was really close to my work too - so pretty bummed when i heard about them closing their doors! I do not have a gym membership and don't intend on getting one just to make use of a shower, on another note - is there even bicycle racks outside VA in the CBD? I was wondering if anyone knew of any other free-ish shower spots in the CBD, I am willing to pay a small amount if need be as well, and i would only use the place once or twice a week. Any help would be much appreciated! Otherwise i will have to go the way of the siff/wet wipes!
