Ok so the cycling clubs in Bloem are up tp sh!t. They were once actually very good but that was long ago. Im gonna become a country member of one of the bigger clubs. Was first thinking cycle lab/supersport. But then I saw Club 100 and I dig the kit. Any suggestions ?

I'm with Cycle Lab - the misses is with Club 100. The Lab is more competitive, Club 100 more social.

Cycle Lab has brilliant hospitality at the bigger races (both road and mtb) and also has more support during events like the Epic and Joberg2c.

Club 100 has hospitality at the really big races and some of the smaller ones.

Oh, and the Lab gives a Ride subscription. The wife is busy reading mine...

I am a club 100 member.

Dig the vibe. Its social at the backend of the pack

A, B and even C1 are more training focussed.

Don't let the kit determine your club. That said, the club100 bibs are super comfy ;)

Or Roag at 10% of the other's membership fee and you kit is not a problem.

ROAG is great if all you need is a club for a license, but if you're looking for anything more, you're out of luck there.

Everything you would get as a local member, we are just not there to enjoy it with you.Cost the same as a full membership. And when we are at the big races we have access to all club facilities. They are definately not gonna open a hospitality area for the 3 country members in Bloem at the local NG Church funride :)

What do you get as a country member?

Well if you join CL, you will also learn to never greet other cyclists on the road, and in return never get greeted. The pro's are that you get 10% off all shop prices, but that still ends up being 20% higher than it should be. If I were you I would join a neutral club (ROAG, etc) without any stigma attached to that membership.

I think that's a bit rough and not what I have experienced! Are you a member of CL?

You are right. Some of them do greet while they skip red lights.
