Did shifting fine-tuning this afternoon, still need to get the brakes properly set up. Still need to:

- Source a proper wheelset (the ones on weigh a metric tonne and don't deserve the bike they're bolted onto!), looking at CrossRide UBs at 1700g.

- Add some bar ends (at almost horizontal level).

- Go shopping for a few bolts to replace the rusty ones on the fork (see the 2nd pic), as well as the main bottle cage ones.

- Cover the chainstay with a real man's wound-up tube.

So, what do you guys think?

MH: try fawkes brothers in paarden eiland. They an engineering works supply. Got some nice stainless steel screws and bolts from them in the past. If u know what size they are, and hopefully they are metric units, try CRC for the nukeproof range of Ti-bolts.

What I do with bolts like that is take them out and carefully put the threaded section in a drill or dremel tool. Use brasso or marine shine with a rag and shine it up. If the rust is stubborn you can take very fine sand paper(1000+) and do the same. Just be careful not to damage the thread in the chuck

To get rid of that rusty crud inside the heads of hex-bolts I put a bit of burnishing compound on an ear-bud, chuck the bolt in my portable drill and spin it while pushing the earbud into the bolt head. Works like a charm.

Cool tip, will give that a bash sometime.
