thanks to a marshal i did an extra 7km on the 32km route. not happy about it since i was trying to do a "good" time.

 

Were you part of the bunch in which I phoned at some or other farm house for directions? Just before I think the first waterpoint?

 

I also got lost with a few others. Wondering how far the detour were.

I know the guy that fell Stephan Niewoudt good rider, looks like he broke his arm and colar bone. Problem is these young guys think they are bullit proof, another guy I know saw it happen he was just going way to fast down that long washed out downhill.

nope i got pointed in the wrong direction about 3km from the finish ....when i reached a section we did earlier the day i got worried.

 

i did see some guys early in the race going in the wrong direction but i followed other riders that knew the route. wish i had them with me towards the finish ......

Great event!! Did the 32km. Lovely terrain. Good water points. Accurate distances. Well marshaled.

Can't remember the last time I did so much climbing in a race, not too steep but just going on forever! However very nice vibe and well organised race, will be back next year.
