Was delighted to hear of Lulu's excellent time. She must really be chuffed. As they say, there is always next year!

I opened this post on page two with the pic of the damage - ouch. when I saw it two things struck me: 1. Oom H and his rantings about carbon and Campy.. 2. How many thousands of Ks that chain had done - especially when you have obviously spent a small fortune on the bike (Record). I replaced my ultegra chain when i serviced my bike two weeks ago.

 

anyway, hope insurance pays out promptly and the damage is fixed quick.

Eish, engine.  The engine was revving so hard the oil was burning!!!  But thanks Wolfie, I had a great time.  I'm just sorry you couldn't finish!!!

Gommie, it's probably true, but after this weekend I will not change from Ampy on the Colnago (or any other new road bike).  Just so much better than Shimano (I ride D/A on the 'dale, hopefully not for long though!)

Quick update.

 

The Rock used his tech skill and Cousin Vinnie supplied me a carbon jockey which means the wolfmobile was tearing up Klapperkop again this afternoon.
