I have just had a revelation!!

us mountainbikers used to stick together and bully the roadies!! now this evil object from the gods has been thrust into our once tight community and is causing a devide!

the 29er vs 26er demonination is being created!! will we soon throw each other with stick and rocks if the wheels are the wrong size!!

This must be a trick or a spell from the outside!!

I will sleep with mtb tires under the corners of my bed tonight to dispell this evil spell!

Im a full suspension 29er. I can see it in the people's eyes... some try and figure out why the bike looks too big... some says 'its a marketing ploy Ill never change'.

this is nothing more than confusing contradiction with conviction.... It is pure illusion and actually equates to a constructive debate in order to evolve into a more dynamic unit. An argument between two men about which is the best spanner for the job is good for male evolution.

You still greet us plebs on a 26", right?

PS the hammer still wins as the best tool ever. So does the 26"!

Wait till 'the inbetweener' hits the shops. Sometimes we may think the choice is obvious and sometimes we may be a tad confused because what we think is really obvious is obviously not that obvious. Confusion now hath made his masterpiece!

The reason why you feel divided is because most MTBers are actually roadies. It was roadies that thought out 29ers. They thought "you know I would like to put my road wheels on my MTB" and bam, 29ers were born. MTBers were never worried about speed. They wanted fun. Why do you think all these bike park and even the spruit are becomming smoother and less technical, it's to accommodate the roadies and their fetish with speed. Look at the 2012 Olympic XC course. It it basically a crit course painted brown so that it looks like dirt.

Like that roadie said , most of us can't even spell properly so I don't think we should a little thing like 29 or SS be a problem . We must still be true to our mission to take over the world and make it a MTB park .

hmmm... I hear you Mr Ellis and Mampara...

is it a coincidence that 29er wheels are the same size as roadie wheels...

...I think not!

Not only are they dividing us MTBers but also casting bad-handling-juju on those that fell under their 29er sorcery. They want MTBers to be as miserable as they are when it comes to not-so-nimble bikes!
