I am 90kg and running my Conti Mountain King 2,4 Front and Race King 2,2 at 1,8Bar with no issues in 6 months. It still seems like I can drop it more. What are you running at your weight just to get a general idea?

29er tyres need only be filled with hot air, not to worry though, as many 29er owners have plenty to spare.

You should take something for your Keyboardial diarrhea! Carefull, it's contagious.

I run my front tyre at 1.7 Bar and the rear at 1.8 Bar hot air for fast routes. On slower routes I will drop about 0.2 on each.

On a 26er there are only fast routes...

It depends on how expensive your rims are. At 1.2 bar hitting a sharp edged rock at speed could end up being expensive.

Edit: I remember now, 29ers are only for riding on smooth district roads or tar. My mistake. :D

If they are not UST tyres and you are running them that low, surely you are inviting trouble on the trail?

Same air pressure in a different volumes are perceived differently. Pump a road tyre 1.8 bar and it wil feel extremely soft and hardly rideable. Opposite is true when going to a larger volume. I would say 2.0 Bar on 26" is equivalent to 1.7 or 1.8 Bar on 29" of identical tyre. Also, a 2.4 tyre can be run at lower pressure that say a 1.9 for the same reason as above.

Hey, all you 26er dudes giving me gas, at the end of the singletrack you are still mounties and I love you too

I run the same set up and at 95Kgs

i run 1.8-2 depending on the type of riding. i have found that any lower and the tyres will burp. i also do not like the fact that the tyres roll to much 2.2/2.4 on corners at the lower pressures. And if you are riding with a mix of rocks i prefer them to have the correct amount of air to keep it safe.

on a HT it also gives you the suspension feel that a 29r should have
