Hmmm... the claimed causality in your post is not valid

 

I have views that are significantly more breathtaking than that with every MTB ride I take around Stellenbosch, so attaching a certain aesthetic appreciation to road rides is not really a strong point in my mind.

That's right Yang - that is THE bike which took an unplanned trip to Mozambique . It has now become my spare machine (I can't really call it a 'training bike' as I haven't raced for a while...but it is my regular ride).

And on to the thread- that ride around Simonstown, Boulders, and on is awesome. Makes me want to go back under calmer circumstances than the Argus and chill out there for a few days.
