As long as you enjoy it. That's all that matters. And you know what, "real" mtbikers don't care about what your bike looks like, all we care about is that you are in fact riding and enjoying it. Monark Posted May 24, 2011 Share After all of this talk about riser bars I have purchased a carbon Easton Monkeylite SL. It is very used and in quite a state but I can see the potential! Have already started sanding and scraping... under that black Easton paint is matt carbon goodness and it is a wonderful to behold. Tjokkits Posted May 27, 2011 Share i started with raiser bars and flew over the handlebars once a ride on average, all changed when i went to flats which i enjoyed for years but struggled with more technical stuff. now refitted some raiser bars, much more comfy and better handling and no flying sessions, turns out the width makes a big diffirence, the previous raiser bars were 580's the new ones are 640's. not sure how one copes with anything wider than that tho. and yes, cane creeks at the ends Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
