You pick up anything on black friday special ?

The wife and I ordered our 7 and a half month old daughter a Fisher Price Learn With Me Zebra walker on the Babies R Us site. Then I ordered myself some geeky merchandise from Raru.

Edit: the wifey wanted to order herself a game for our Nintendo Switch, but it wasn't on sale for Black Friday.

just bought a bubble water thingy attachment for the go pro from orms.

none of there other stuff was "special" enough for me to open my wallet. Not even the discounted second hand specials.

but the new sony full frame might have the wallet nervous. #astrolandscape

I wouldn't mind a little Sony Alpha a6500, but I don't have 30k to spare.

My daughter took this with her cell phone

You should confiscate her phone because she makes us all look like the amateurs we are. ;)

My son took this pic yesterday afternoon from a home made "stand up paddle board" (actually a windsurfer board that he uses) with his iPhone 6 on the river in front of our house.35c2d9a9bc7edbb7ba5388773bba36e5.jpg

Amazing capture!

Thanks. It gets me when some people say that an 18-55mm kit lens doesn't cut it, sure it has it's limitations, but it is quite a versatile lens.

Was that picture captured with the kit lens? If so, wow!

I must admit, I too have a kit lens (don't use it that often - I prefer my 100mm macro for the detail and bokeh) but I have taken a few landscapes with it and it can really produce super nice shots if your settings are correct in camera, making it easier in post.

Yip, all my camera photo's were taken with the kit lens. Well I sold my camera with 2 kit lenses last year, nowadays I post photos that I took while I had the camera, lol. I just wasn't prepared to save money for better lenses, so I sold it as a bundle.

My wife has a macro lens, and you're right, they do produce lekker detail and bokeh. I believe the 50mm (or nifty fifty) also produces nice bokeh.
