Teardrop Posted May 31, 2011 Author Posted May 31, 2011 Where can one go for an Ergofit setup in JHB?
Tankman Posted May 31, 2011 Posted May 31, 2011 Will LBS allow you to this? If they dont allow you to test ride, find another LBS that is serious about you spending money with them. Post a photo of each bike and see how the voting changes! I say, get the one that looks the best in your opinion! You are going to have to ride it, not us!
bontie Posted May 31, 2011 Posted May 31, 2011 I think (correct me if I am wrong) the SS3 is a non hi-mod version i.e. a cheaper and heavier frame than the SS Himod? Therefore I would probably go with the Giant or Specialized, if those are my only choices. None of them are painted in Italy though...I'd get a Pinarello form ASG's sale, but that is just me. Tankman hit the nail on the head - buy with your heart!
messenger Posted May 31, 2011 Posted May 31, 2011 Tankman hit the nail on the head - buy with your heart!Aha - i see now! This is alot like being on the Russian Bride websaaits. Eurika! You have to like the who package, including all the extras. You must make and emotional decision in order to fall in love. And you must be sure what you are getting befor you pay the money over. After all; 'she' must be sexually appealing to you; 'she' must get the intended job done; and you are going to spend hours of joyous happy times on 'her'.And for that matter neither of the 'her's' talk back (english).... *strategig exit??* Mate, if you dont buy with your heart, you better be able to convince it that you made the right decision for the right reasons. But buy the Spez
Tiny K Posted June 1, 2011 Posted June 1, 2011 All these bikes look pretty nice, so go with the one that'll make you excited to go for a ride at 5am in the morning. You can check your body's anthropometrics by filling the info at Competitve Cyclists Fit calculator and see what effective top tube length you need. That, I have been told, is the most important measurement you need to have right. Everything else is movable. e.g. SWIFT (a bike I was looking at buying), has the 838isp and the 830sl. The 838 is a compact frame and has the right-ish top tube length but the isp is too short for my seat height. The 830sl would work because it is a standard seat post. After a bit of consultation with a few guys on the hub, I have decided that the Colnago M10 is a nice looking ride and I'd rather pay a little (well lot) bit more and get a bike that get my heart racing just by looking at it.
swiss Posted June 1, 2011 Posted June 1, 2011 DONT buy the Spez if you do, you will never have the opportunity to ride any other bike ever again enjoy the other makes.....one day you will buy a Spez and have no need to try anything else ever again
