nochain Posted June 10, 2011 Posted June 10, 2011 Why did they move it back to the middle of winter??Was much better last year during August  Good to see they made it 4 days of racing. I have done this tour 4 or 5 times but this year I will have to give it n skip,just too much on my plate at the moment... Hope people will support it!

David Marshall Posted June 11, 2011 Posted June 11, 2011 Entries close tomorrow so I expect the numbers will improve. As for the cost I can't see it costing much less. What does it cost to get paramedic coverage for four days? The Parys tour is in the same ballpark.
Christie Posted June 11, 2011 Posted June 11, 2011 (edited) I would expect that junior teams from all over the country would be quite keen? There are some well organized junior teams, it would be nice for them to do a stage race. I don't see how anyone can blame CSA for low numbers in a vets tour. There is a 30-39 bunch, this is one of the few opportunities to race in an age cat. If the numbers are low, there may not be enough demand for this type of event to justify it?
