yes

end of story.

hehehe, guess it all depends, XTR vs XO much the same I think, goes down to personal taste. Shimano cranks are awesome, I ride XT crankset with X9 shifters and rear mech with shimano front mech. Just prefer it over the shimano shifters. All that said, the new XT looks awesome!

I have the XO gripshift and have never had a ghost shift in 2years, used to use the old XT thumbshifters and they were not great. But technology has changed would also like to hear opinions on the new shimano stuff.

God invented XTR....that's why it's so good

The Devil invented X.O....that's why it's BAD-ASS sh*t!!!!

I don't like the SRAM shifters. I line my thumb to do the up shifting and fore finger to do down. The new Shimano stuff you can shift either way.

use the gripshift no triggers to worry about. Big%20smile

As I was telling some guys over the weekend....Sram is working on a Double Tap lever for MTBs.

One trigger for up and down shift....worth keeping an eye on!

I prefer the shimano trigger shift to dual shift but this weekend I rode one of JDLAMs demo bike's with SRAM and was really impressed with it.

Ok so I take it that SRAM is pretty good...

I checked out a Avalanche Expert yesterday with X7 shifters, Deore LX F/derailer and X9 R/derailer and I think I'm sold on it...I LOVE IT! J

ust waiting for a price from my LBS....

I believe that SRAM had far fewer failures at the Cape Epic than Shimano. SRAM X9 is great (if you get X7 shifters, pay the small price to upgrade them to the much smoother X9 shifters). But the 2008 XT products look excellent.

I have the X9 range RD and Grip-shifts.  FD also SRAM but a more generic model.  Not labelled X9.

Great stuff!  Not everyone likes the Grip-shifts, but I will most probably never revert back to thumb shifters again.  It's just that easy and simple to operate.
