Hope all is okay on your farm! Apparently some more wetness coming this week.

Super impressed with the trails, the sections we rode - it was really in awesome condition for any time of the year. After the rains in recent times, downright miraculous shape!

Went for a ride on the white route yesterday...the single track down was amazing, and the views are amazing! BUT we started riding at 4:30 and finished after 7! Those short steep climbs broke us! Enjoyed it altogether and I'm looking forward to the next ride! Tanx to the owner for al the work they do there!

Another great day out there, just came through from home and rode the opening loop and back home again... But whaaaat?! Chainrings cut out?! I was so looking forward to that section today. Is it a permanent reroute or just a temporary shortcut?

At least I then had the energy to ride the starting climb of the yellow loop to go home via Bains road...

Hardly ever stopped smiling, such a beaut of a ride! Thanks for all the effort going in there!

I recently discovered some great singletrack in Bainskloof. The best singletracks in Wellington in my opinion. If I understand correctly it will be part of the black route

Any idea when the black route will open?

Seabee that reroute is not permanent but it will be a while before it will be open again.

The Black route will be launched early December. Will keep you up to date.

Great news, thanks for the feedback! I was just like... whaaaat?! yesterday, coming through the trees and looking forward to that little section. Good to hear it will be back. That little bit between the trees right after the two "chainrings" (before you go up to the road) is one of the most peaceful bits anywhere, I just love it.

Is the black route the singletrack going out of yellow I've been told about?

I think you are correct. I never follow the marked trails. I more or less know where all the good bits are so I do my own route according to time I have available. You are welcome to join us sometime. There are still a few tracks that I spot through the tree lines that I have not even tried yet

Best I bring the climbing legs for this one.
