Opening old wounds here, but I need to understand this, so Topwine, please end the suspence. What drives you here?

a) a Good intellectual battle (at the cost of a man earling his living here),

B) You are Superman's dietitional cousin, out to save the world from a evil product most hubbers actually tested and finds working well (no matter what the diagrams say),

c) You work for or have close relations to someone who works for an opposition company,

d) You do no like MDW,

e) Revenge because MDW's sister dumped you back in highschool,

f) You are a perfectionist and has to know better all the time,

g) None of the above, and you will proof it by telling us. Untill then, you GO MDW!

Hi All, just a note TONIGHT at 18h55 on DSTV Channel 201, Supersport 1, SS1 32Gi will be on television in a short interview, with the Captain of the Bedford runners club, in support of the Sports Trust.

You can see MDW in the flesh now and throw stones at me if you wish LOL ......

Seriously the Sports Trust is a great initiative to help underprivileged communities and athletes and we feel its a really worth while cause to support.

all the best

Mark, clearly you are not reading my posts correctly. To put it bluntly what I am saying is that I am receiving bad service from your agent in Benoni.

This is where I expect you to jump in and save the day but apparently the interview on SS1 is more important.

Anyways if I am lucky enough to receive the stuff I will give it a bash otherwise I couldn't really care.

By the way maybe just inform your guy in Benoni that the product is called 32GI and not GI32!

I can understand your branding and marketing, you do that very well !, but surely consumers need to understand that if they want to mix their own low Gi energy drink that they are able to do so by using the generic Isomaltulose for a lot cheaper. They same way as consumers know they can safely use generic versions of most expensive branded medicines for a lot cheaper.

This is a strange question to me.. Do consumers need to be notified they can mix their own Oros by buying a load of sugar, orange flavouring and tartrazine?

If the product is safe, affordable and it works, I'm happy to buy it as is and I don't need to be supplied with the recipe to go and make my own.

Yip, we all can go and mine our own gold, melt it and make jewelery. But there are people willing to do all this at a fair price.

MDW, some feedback.

Went for a 80km ride on Sunday, using only 32GI. I consumed half a bottle before start of ride, did not eat a before ride meal. Consumed no energy bars or other foodstuffs during the ride. Pace was not that hectic, but we did climb Old Helshoogte, which I did at a fair pace (for me, in any case <_< ) Coming back to Bellville was into a headwind. Came back via Polkadraai. The few climbs on Polkadraai was dispatched fairly easily. Legs was feeling good the whole ride.

Drank a full bottle (plus one water only) over the 3 hour period we cycled.

Planning a 120km ride for Friday, will report on how it went. So far, so good...

Personally, I'm finding that 32gi works better to prevent "bonking" if you drink a bottle anywhere between 30-45mins before you start a ride. The mix should be 200-300ml water and 2 scoops (slightly more concerntrated that recommended).

Rode Tour de Worcester last weekend and the 4passes this weekend, with 2x500ml bottles of 32gi; incorporating the above method.

Our ride time for the 4passes was just under 5hours for the 130km route and I used up both bottles before the end. Will have to use it more frequently without food; to be able to see, whether it does indeed have a major influence on how I feel during a ride. I've never been a great eater; either during my ultra marathons (Comrades etc) or cycling, so I'll gradually eliminate the food and see what gives. Current food for this type of ride is a single banana at 1-2hours into ride and a muffin at 3-4hrs in.

BTW I use the Lime flavor. Not too bad but is a bit sweet, at the higher concerntrate levels. Somereset West DisChem only has Lime or Peach (yuk!!!!!) , so can't wait to try some of the berry flavors.

The good news for some Hubbers, is we are going to be launching a neutral flavour in the near future, no flavoring at all for those that like that. A few new products will be coming down the line will keep you posted.

Headhunter have u tried the chews, they go down quite well with the drink.

Headhunter, that Berry flavour is yummy. Ronelle has stock of it.

What I really enjoy about the 32GI is that it does not become sickly sweet a couple of hours into the ride as ALL the other high end brands does (I've tried most of them)

I used to throw whatever was left in my bottles away as soon as I got home, not so with 32GI, I drink every last drop. (must sometimes fight with wife for it though :D )

Here goes, but please remember, this is not my recipe, merely something I came across as an example in a patent registration. See the link provided before. I just gave the recipe as a joke and to stir the tempers up a bit of those that have interests to protect, :P
