SwissVan Posted August 23, 2011 Share That needs to be ridden on an offroad skateboard You joke! One of my local hills (note hill not mountain) has a tar road similar to the OP photo but probably a bit shorter (height diffs of about 400m over +/- 3.5 km) and a few more tree's (forest)...anyway.... Twice this year I encountered a guy skateboarding on a large slalom type board (but with a wider deck) coming down while I was riding up, amazing to watch how he would slip into a slide to slow himself down for the hairpin bends. Tried to take a picture the second time but he was way to quick.
Kranswurm Posted August 23, 2011 Share It also reminds me of the road down into Die Hel valley. Did that on the Hell & Back Mtb race. It winds it way down into the valley with countless twists and turns. You have to be pretty careful not pick up too much speed on this descent, as you will be doing a John Lee over the edge. Awesome section of the race though. Coupla years ago when I did it an oke did go over the edge. They had to use ropes to get him downChoppered him out........made a hell of a lot of dust

Its my new sport (on the road first) I hit 65km/h on Friday night on my mates downhill board( helmet, special gloves leather pants). The world record is 140km/h. You should check some of the clips on You Tube, sick.
