Anyone in Cape Town been to this pool before for IM training? I am moving to Gardens and it seems like this is the closest pool. Also does anyone know how many metres it is? Can't find much info on the net

Thanks :)

Closest pool would be at Wembley Square Virgin Active.

Not to sure about LS pool.

Used to swim province so we had Winter SC champs there. they put a bridge over the pool to make it 25m.

Pool is about 35m to 40m long. Heated pool  Unfortunately I haven't trained for IM so wouldn't know what you require

just need it to be longer than 20m :) so it sounds perfect! swimming a long endurance session in a 20m pool is terrible cause you feel like you barely get in a rhythm before you have to turn.

not keen on paying so much gym fee's to only use the pool! LS pool only costs R12 a session so it will only cost me about R170 a month!

You on discovery? Medical air or life insurance? Can sign up for vitality and it will cost you like R90 a month.

Is it clean inside as I have been tempted to go there for some time now.

It gives you tumble-turn practice for the 100's of turns you will be doing in a lake / sea / dam

Jip sea point pool still there. Salt water (not sea water) which I prefer (to chlorine). Also in summer you can swim in the Waterfront canals. From opposite the Audi garage to One and Only and back. Think it is about 1500m
