Not a Colnago!! They are like Toyota's...they are SO reliable!! Actually, 8 weeks ago I was hijacked while riding in the South (on the Lido route) and they stole my Colnago Carbon. So if anyone see's a guy riding a Record 10spd equipped C40 Bstay...tell him I would really like it back!!!

If I'd known you rode that C40 on the Lido route, I would have hijacked you before that other guy did!  C50 with Record is my dream bike, but C40 would do nicely too.

Seriously, though, what size and paint-scheme was your C40?

.
I also want to try resolve this without naming the seller' date=' because they work for a very well respected bike shop. [/quote']

The fact that he works for a respectable bike shop means that he knows the frame was cracked. If he is really stupid he could loose his job, unless he is the owner of the shop.

I say name and shame him. if he pays up just name the frame

Slow down guys.Out of previous posts on the hub I have learned that there is always two sides to a story.Let's give the other chap time to respond.

Exactly. I do not want them to lose their job. I just recieved an SMS to let me know they are busy at work, and that is the reason for not answering their phone earlier.

Busy at work, so don't answer phones.....yeah right. What bike shop won't answer a call (it could be a potential customer). I was also soft with a guy that crashed into me and damaged my bike. He was also full of promises, 3 months later and a threat from an attorney got him to pay. Don't be agressive, but be firm.

You think maybe the frame was abandoned by a customer when the crack was discovered at the bike shop, and this guy, who works for the shop, saw an opportunity to shaft some poor unsuspecting soul?
